It's interesting that people discuss there only the fact of possible disqualification and don't mention any real facts that were said on the conference. Have you mentioned that there were NO names of athletes? It seems that they are afraid to do this, because sportsmen can reply just after that. Rodchenkov had said some months ago that Legkov was one of the dopers - and what's next? Just days later there were all documents from Alexander that he was(and is) clean. I think it would be easy for not-dopers to proof their innocence, but WADA even doesn't name anybody - that can lead to destruction of their report.

No. Their job was not to name athletes, their job was to thoroughly investigate state sponsored doping and the involvement of the Russian state at covering up dozens of positive doping tests before and during the 2014 Olympics.

That picture can be found in the report. How did they count it? Maybe, we can know just couple of names? When were these tests covered? Just something more than Chivas and FSB; people who did the report make FSB at first so clever to think of all that strategy, and after that so stupid to not to clean out all the possible proofs and let Rodchenkov to go out to the USA(if you didn't know, any person except the highest people in Russia who get the access to all secret deals is not allowed to go out of the country).

Shocking news are coming from the USA. According to usatoday.com, Maxwell Holt tested positive for doping, as a small amount of meldonium was found in his body on June 10! However, the US Anti-Doping Agency decided that Holt won’t be suspended as the player was not aware :sure: of using the illegal substance.

Allegedly, the US Anti-Doping Agency decided that the player’s former club Dinamo Moscow is responsible for this situation, as the Russian team was giving meldonium to all of its players. Holtreceived meldonium before the Russian Cup in mid-December.

We all remember the case of Aleksander Markin, who was later released of all charges for doping by the FIVB.

Anyway, the most important thing is that Maxwell Holt will be able to play for the USA at the Olympic Games 2016.

There must be legal reasons to not name them publicly. You'd expect McLaren to give the names privately to WADA, IOC and Russia.

That graph will likely push Russia to be banned in weightlifting. As for the other sports Russia will likely avoid a blanket ban, but we could see specific athletes getting banned.

FINA will do nothing because they make FIFA look spotless by comparison.

Do you really believe that if he would have found changed test of someone of top athletes, he wouldn't say about that? If he gave the names privately just to someone, where are the confirmations of it from these "recievers"? There were no words about it.

It's a possibility. He said his mandate was just to investigate and the rest is up to the IOC. That could (and should) include outing the medalists involved. But we'll know more in the upcoming days, hopefully.

    • North American rugby quotas ( and qualified automatically)    M: and W: and
    • I remember Caroline Golubitsky. She competed with Vezzali for a while but not for long. Rita Konig, whom Vezzali defeated in the final of the Olympic Games in 2000, was more famous, as well as Sabine Bau and Anja Mueller. From what I remember, the Germans competed fiercely with us at some point, but they almost always lost.
    • Shemyakina won a bronze medal in 2014 Worlds and was one of our leader but leave the squad due to pregnancy (she has 2 daughters if I'm not mistaking, so she chose family instead of sport). And speaking of foil we have back in the day Sergiy Golubitskyi, who was Olympic silver medalist and won some medals in other competitions and coached his wife Caroline Golubitskyi - one of the German foil specialists. Even in women's foil we had medal in Women's foil at the European championship - it was Olha Leleiko, our current national coach. So no, we are pretty good fencing country, and depending on generations of our athletes some events are more "profitable" for us and some don't.
    • Shemyakina that was a very strange story. She unexpectedly won the games but before and after she literally achieved nothing. After that success in 2012 she also completely disappeared. It's only in epee that such strange situations. That's why I've always preferred foil and sabre, because the top was more stable there, although that's changing now. The competition has grown a lot all over the world.
