Europa Cup Innsbruck men's race 1:

Good to see a young Korean there, even after Pyeongchang.

And the women, with some serious talent and Fernstädt's debut for the Czech Republic:

I kind of figured that was inevitable given his debut World Cup season last year. He looks better than Sung dis four years out of Pyeongchang.

And still it is absolutely, completely, totally unbelievable China didn't finish their sliding track years ago...

Of course winning sliding gold is not easy, but it is definitely the 'easiest' gold medal to come up with out of relatively nothing. For any host nation, especially those new in sliding sports, a sliding track should be the absolute first priority in terms of finishing venues. Having a ski jump ready 2 or 5 years before the Olympics makes barely any difference, having a sliding track ready 5 years before the Olympics makes for an immensely bigger chance of gold than having it ready 2 years before.
