Is Poland in athletics what Italy is in swimming? Has any polish athlete undeperformed here? Was there any polish medal contender who didnt medal?

Yes, as always according to you. 7 4th place, 7 5th place and some injury like Witek,Jozwik,Licwinko(pregnancy), etc, so this is not our best championship.

Men's 4x400m Relay is the only one which truly underperformed here. 5th place is considered a bad result.

Maybe, although i didnt expect a medal for them. I considered Belgium, GB and Spain stronger. Thats maybe like saying that Holzdeppe not winning a medal here was disappointing.

'not here' as in, injured? Or he simply didn't show up and nobody knows where he is?

He was there as you could see during the entrance presentations, but suddenly had to run out to the stadium, maybe to the toilet, who knows ? so the team couldn´t start

The very same team set the indoor WR earlier this year and won gold in Birmingham. Krzewina was out injured but a medal was expected anyway.

I asked a clear question. Who was expected to medal (according to the entry list for example) and didnt win a medal here?

I didn't, I was picking something to drink :p

And that is strange...I'm curious about this situation if something appears in Czech media.

Of course i am well aware of that, but outdoors is a different thing (ask Maslak) and the polish guys just werent in as good a shape as the guys from Belgium/GB/Spain. It was pretty obvious even before the start of this competition.

There is extremely high turnout, and no pollster, politician, or newspaper had predicted it; now they’re all there throwing out data. No one has any idea why people voted, also because it was very technical and almost empty polling stations were expected. It will be interesting to understand whether this is a protest vote against the government or a protest vote against the judiciary.
