Thier live-streaming “service” is about as good as an amateur home video. It’s run by volunteers who are working with almost nothing to create something, so kudos to them. I do intend to save and list the livestreams, just like I did with the Med. Games. I’m kind of hoping they show the spear fishing tomorrow.

Who’s ready for 2018 Micronesian Games . Streaming appears like it will be available on their website: here. Honestly, their website is better than the Mediterranean Games and CAC Games.

And it will completed while skydiving into the Olympic stadium, and open to only youth competition

Guam takes the first gold medals of the games, winning both the men’s and women’s 10,000m

Guam strikes gold again in the Individual Spearfishing event. Mike Genereux caught a combined total of 177.5 lbs. of fish. The day was moderately stormy, so the total was impressive. Palau’s Luis Ongalibang took silver with a total of 143.5 lbs. of fish. Pohnpei’s day got off to a rough start when their boat broke, but after be transported by a support boat Taylor Paul managed to get bronze with a total of 126.5 lbs. of fish.

In Day 1 of the Men’s Basketball Competition: Guam beat Palau 77-62

In Day 1 of the Women’s Basketball  Competition: Guam beat Palau 77-42, and  Pohnpei beat Chuuk 76-30

Day 1 of Beach Volleyball saw victories for Marshall Islands 2, Palau, Yap (who lost to Marshall Islands 2, but beat Marshall Islands 1), and Palau for a second time; in the women’s competition.

In the men’s competition Kiribati, Guam, and Marshall Islands 1 score victories.

      Franchi had a similarly impressive performance at the 2023 World Championships on the same distance but later she completly missing. I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are bursts of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
