Oficially, Mexico has had its best performance in the Pan American Games outside home soil

Yeah, the schedule favours Mexico, it's not impossible, but we'll probably need to win some team events oppose to finishing second. Cuba also has a chance at catching us, but a few more golds might place them out of reach.

 

As for total medals I think Brazil has it, thanks to swimming.

Looking at the schedule and what's gone on so far, today could be a big day for Canada.  Quite a few chances in athletics, archery, wrestling and some others.

A medal for Brazil in basque pelota. This is absolutely crazy.  I would never ever expect that. Hats off to the French guy who represents Brazil.
