:MLT Janet Richard in tears after her 400 m heat.

Apparently she has broken the Maltese NR by over half a second.

Yeah, her previous best was 54.06 so she beat that by 0.57 :yikes:

Horrible season from Zarankaitė.

Her SB was her very first start in Spring.

She never even reached 60 meters and was at her worst in both the World and European Championships.

Training under her mum is not cutting it anymore or she was not focusing that much on sports this season.

Seeing as she threw 62 meters last summer, this is such a wasted opportunity.

Another stupid question, How is possible that a winner of a heat will have to run in Lane 1 in the semifinal ? That sound stupid, Are not the winners of previous rounds always placed in the middle lanes by default ?

I assume the middle lanes are for those pre-qualified on SB/rankings ;)

:POL has four women in 400m (we got one wild card even) and only Baumgart had to run the heats.

I visited the Olympaturm (Olympic Tower) this May. Surely it is a wonderful experience to be up there right now.

Munich Olympic Park as a whole is a very beautiful place.
