The new season of UCL 2018/19 :woot:  begin today with the draw of preliminary round

 

The champions of the four lowest-ranked nations enter in the preliminary round, a mini-tournament consisting of a semifinals and a final, with the winner go to the first qualifying round, and other three teams transfer to the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round

Preliminary round: semifinals (26 June, at the Victoria Stadium /Gibraltair)

FC Santa Coloma :AND vs  :KOS  KF Drita  
La Fiorita :SMR vs   :GIB   Lincoln FC 

 

Changes for this year:

  • 26 teams now gain direct entry to the UEFA Champions League group stage 
  • Every team eliminated in UEFA Champions League qualifying will get a second chance in the UEFA Europa League
  • There will be staggered kick-offs (18.55 CET and 21.00 CET) in the UEFA Champions League (as EUL)

Note: :ITA  back with  4 teams at Group stage !! ;)

Hot summer,

the whole planet watching World Cup semifinals...but in Slovakia it´s time for the Champions League :lol:  this fantastic competition of fantastic football under FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE like today in Trnava :roflmao:, when the SVK champion played the first leg at home against Zrinjski Mostar, champion of :BIH

Because they both qualified for the 1st qualifying round.

Slovak champion surprisingly will continue the journey in the Champions League also in the next weeks, Spartak Trnava advanced to the 2nd qualifying round and will play Legia Warsaw of Poland

    • I still don't know how we lost the match against Poland Can't wait to see the semifinals These matches seems very balanced
    • POL rather won’t qualify for a World Cup.   And we surely won’t qualify in a first stage.    So j just want to see interesting matches and my dream group would be:            
    • With the IWF cracking down on doping, North Korea was already the second best nation before Covid. The three-year isolation does make things suspicious.   Considering the IWF is now testing them every time they compete (given their results), they are probably clean now. The IWF is on such a short leash that a scandal like this may kill the federation so I imagine they are keeping a watchful eye on them.
    • and  are the men's handball qualifiers from North America. Guess who finished fourth? 
    • I was wondering who gave  team that push? ..it was you at the end  ... Karlos is the man (hopefully) to break this domination.   but if we did a poll here: Do you think  weightlifters are clean from doping or not ? ..what would be your thoughts ...I don't want to criticise any athletes or countries but the records are very suspicious
