OK, that's interesting. Not been picked for the individual event so far

Surely she will swim based on that trajectory. I went to watch the session yesterday and she was impressive PBing in the 200m so I expected it slightly, but not a 0.7 drop which would take her into finals contention. Surely she wouldn’t be tapered so that looks really exciting.

Regan Smith just clocked 57.51 in the 100 back for her first PB in this event since she broke the world record in 2019. Gonna be a titanic battle for the gold in Paris.

:IRL Current Ireland Qualifiers :IRL

The Ireland qualification period has finished.

Swimmers with OQT (5)

Tom Fannon (50m free)

Daniel Wiffen (400m free, 800m free, 1,500m free)

Mona McSharry (100m breast)

Danielle Hill (50m free, 100m back)

Ellen Walshe (200m IM, 400 IM - also has OCT for 100m fly)

Swimmers with OCT

Shane Ryan (100m free)

Conor Ferguson (100m back)

John Shortt (200m back)

Max McCusker (100m fly)

Ireland has qualified in the men's and women's 4x100m medley relay so can add 4 relay only athletes. I expect them to be 3 men and 1 woman if none of the swimmers with OCTs get invited.  The team might not be announced for a while

    • c'mon! KOR dq in the men's relay is really a farce, a disgrace for the sport...and ITA have nothing to do with that
    • The only ones complaining about the short track refs are Italians, imo. Not even on this forum, but in general, from what I've been seeing on live chats and other social media sites. That says a lot to be honest. I suspect it's partially due to them not performing to the high standard they're expected to perform at especially at the Olympics. The refs make a lot of mistakes for everyone, there's no bias against or towards anyone    Plus, Italy have won 6 medals already.... the most you've won at a Worlds since 2016.
    • For me they gave Canada the gold in the relay in exchange for a 1000-meter dsq gold for Dandjinou, that's how I see it. It was a battle between Kor and Can on 2 of this case. It's hard to say why that last dsq for Kor was in relay? Of course, Italy win bronze thanks for that, but that's not really important. It would have been better if the referees had just stayed out of the results and left it as it was decided for fight on the ice.

    • the quata for europe or australia is from the primer 12, where the top 20 teams will participate, sadly  is the 21th team so the only slight chance for us in my opinion is if: we get top 2 at the european championship (not including  hopefully if they get the quata), then somehow win the final qualification tournament against i assume  and one of    the chances for us are slim, i think about 4 other team sports  have a better chance in in my opinion(and the most team sports we ever had was one, and it was the last two time after a long time )
