Both - Like 2023, the winner of World Champ gets direct quota but that will probably be subject to reallocation to the highest finishing NOC who doesn't qualify an athlete through the ranking.

ok so little chance of direct quota like in 2023 thank you

Did anyone pick up on the fact that UCI have changed the qualification pathway for BMX Freestyle in February this year? Seems a bit ridiculous that they are able to do that given the qualification process was already underway.

The allocation of the 2023 World Championship quotas has been changed. In the 2023 version, there was only a reallocation of the '23 WC quotas if there was a continent that hadn't qualified through the OQS or after reallocation of '22 World Champs quotas. Now the '23 WC quotas are reallocated to non-qualified NOCs.

NL seems to have been promoted to a second male quotum, at the expense of GB.

Think it was always expected that :NED would get 2 quotas particularly given the rich vein of form that Niek Kimmann has been in in the last few weeks - winning both of the world cup events in Oklahoma and then finishing 2nd at World Champs. GB in contrast haven't been able to string together consistent results - often failing to make the final.

All eyes on Verona next week for the European Champs to see whether :GBR can do enough to pick up 125 points needed to overtake :USA
