Such cruel luck for Barbados in men's field hockey. Winning first two games to go out in the group stage and the opportunity to qualify for the 2019 Pan Am Games. :(

Wow, a .04 difference between gold and silver in women's 50m freestyle, with Colombia prevailing over Mexico, and Jamaica's Atkinson adding another medal to her personal tally.

    • Regarding the swimming they have added the 800m for men and the 1500m for women so cutting numbers would be odd.
    • That quota I’ve been told by an athlete aiming to qualify who I know online.
    • Has the quota for Canada been offically confirmed anyway, or is that just a rumour? I can't find anything on google about it (nor the suggested quota for England's athletes someone posted earlier).   12 per gender would make sense (it's roughly what Canada sent to Birmingham). 12 overall seems dumb.
    • Some sports have qualification systems   3x3 basketball (wheelchair) Para-cycling Powerlifting Weightlifting
    • In the past few games, Canada (and other nations) was given an overall athlete quota which they then divided it through the various sports.
    • Whose decision was this, Team Canada's or the Organising committes?
