Any idea why the men's results aren't there yet?

I believe there were some issues with heavy snowfall. I did see the IBSF post about the results this morning though.

I'm starting to notice people are getting more and more excited about the Brazilian athlete here in Brazil, and I've even read somewhere people saying she has enough potential to finish in the top 8 at the Olympics, thus surpassing our historical best result -- a ninth place completely out of luck in snowboard cross in 2006.

I hope she breaks that record, although I highly doubt it's at all realistic :p

We'll see when the main season gets underway though, it would be truly insane (and awesome!!) progress if she gets close to top-10 results :d

The result of the Olympic test is quite positive though, even if it's early season. I mean the whole circuit was there and probably in good form since they had to discover the track and practice it in competition conditions.

4th place for :FRA Defayet :cheer:I personally find it more outstanding than a podium from the :ASA. I really do, which is quite concerning to say the least but hey :sure:

He's gathered a fair amount of points, but it won't be enough I fear ...

It seems thatt things are getting a bit more realistic for :BRA now that the World Cup is getting closer, but still quite alright.

The first run looks like a mistake happened. She was third in the second run.

In any case hoping for a Brazil top 8 in Beijing

Yep, early mistake looking at the splits.

Maybe this race is the most realistic then :p ? https://www.ibsf.org/en/component/events/event/502061

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases

It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
