Have heard (though just a proposal at the moment), that some countries are pushing for a min. 2 quotas (per event) to be allowed from Americas/Africa/Asia....

  • 1 year later...

:SVK Internal qualification just started. And in M C1 all 3 guys fighting for the quota advanced to the final. https://www.canoeicf.com/canoe-slalom-world-cup/markkleeberg-2019/results

There 4 rounds (WC in Germany this weekend, next last WC stage, the Wch this year and next years ECH) The athletes will collect points based on their ranking at the different events, the worst result of each athlete being scratched at the end. The athlete with the highr amount of points will earn the spot for Tokyo (depending if Slovakia win the quota ofc)

In W K1 no SVK girl qualified for the final, so we already know the standing after Event 1/4 in this class. Jana Dukátová finished 13th in the semifinal so she has 32 points.

1. Jana Dukátová 21 points

2. Eliška Mintálová  18 p.

3. Elena Kaliská  16 p.

I´ll keep updating the SVK internal qualifiers standing here

    • If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.
