  2. Men's Tournament André Stein/George Wanderley Arthur Lanci/Evandro Oliveira Women's Tournament Ana Patrícia Ramos/Eduarda Lisboa Bárbara Seixas/Carolina Solberg
  3. Bárbara Seixas/Carol Solberg have joined Duda/Ana Patrícia as our qualified women's teams for Paris. Bárbara returns to the Games after being a silver medalist in 2016.
  4. 6/8 NPCs qualifying for both tournaments is quite a lot. Unfortunately, this is the price for reducing the number of quotas from previous editions.
  5. That would be great but I think it's a bit on the optimistic side (especially Judo, Gymnastics and Boxing). I think Brazil will have a similar performance to London 2012.
  6. Taekwondo Pan American Qualification Tournament quotas M K44 -58kg: M K44 -63kg: M K44 -70kg: M K44 -80kg: M K44 +80kg: W K44 -47kg: W K44 -52kg: W K44 -57kg: W K44 -65kg: W K44 +65kg: This was the last qualifying tournament, with only reallocations and bipartite invitations remaining. 44 NPCs have qualified (+ neutral and refugee athletes). all qualified 5 or more athletes.
  7. Judo announced ten judokas for the Paris Games: 66kg- Willian Lima 73kg- Daniel Cargnin 81kg- Guilherme Schimidt 90kg- Rafael Macedo 100kg- Leonardo Gonçalves +100kg- Rafael Silva 52kg- Larissa Pimenta 57kg- Rafaela Silva 78kg- Mayra Aguiar +78kg- Beatriz Souza Cargnin, Macedo, Rafael Silva and Aguiar are back after Tokyo. 4th Olympics for Rafael Silva and Aguiar (who won the bronze medal in each of the three previous Games). Somewhat strange that they announced Rafaela Silva already given how close Jessica Lima was to her in the rankings, but I guess that being an Olympic champion played a big part in this choice.
  8. I think won't get the host quota here since they don't have a pair ranked on the pairs world ranking list. It will go to next best not qualified nation on that ranking, which is .
  9. Adam Siao Him Fa with a medal after placing 19th in SP To complete the upset, Shoma Uno out of the podium...
  10. Probably just a sign of the times, people don't interact as much as they used to. The same happened with last year's Totallympics Awards, which had much fewer comments compared to the previous edition.
  11. Congrats to , my favourite song here. Would also love to see winning the Totallympics Eurovision Contest, just for a bit of a change...
  12. I see some progress in the newer generations. Some younger athletes who are gay are just living their lives freely and I feel there isn't so much of a pressure to came out anymore. But of course each case is different and for most of them the possibility of living their truth comes only after they retire from the sport.
  13. Yeah. For Brazil I can only think of Arthur Nory (Gymnastics) and Douglas Souza (Volleyball) when considering active athletes who participated in the Olympics (both Rio 2016 medalists). And I don't think they will be in Paris (Nory has a slim chance of being selected, but Douglas doesn't want to play for the NT anymore). Maique (Volleyball) might join them but probably won't be on the team. There's also a few that are pretty much "out" on social media but have never officially spoken about it.
  14. Joana Neves (Swimming), winner of 5 Paralympic Games medals.
  15. What a sad way to start this thread. I don't want to state the obvious, but it's truly unfortunate that things like this still happen. That crowd was despicable and the other team should take some accountability.
  16. won both Paralympic races (PR1M1x and PR3Mix2x) and will have to selected one of the boats. The other quota will go to or . Unfortunately I think that the PR1W1x event wasn't held, probably due to a lack of participants.
  17. Yeah, it was nice that except for this one they voted for watchable shorts in the other categories. Although it was totally expected, I despise the screenplay win for 'American Fiction'. For me it was the worst of the category.
  18. Yeah, since they don't have the guts to award something like 'Anatomy of a Fall' or 'Past Lives', it was a good choice. Something noticeable is that they awarded the same winners of BAFTA in ALL categories except Visual Effects ('Godzilla' wasn't nominated there). Predicted 17/23 but I wish I had paide more attention to them.
  19. Ryan Gosling singing "I'm Just Ken" was by far the best moment of the night
  20. As @Olympian1010 reminded us, they'll nominate any song Diane Warren writes. In the past decade she has been nominated multiple times for abhorrent work.
  21. Yeah, they really love "Poor Things", thought "Barbie" was stronger but apparently it will only win Best Song. Strangely enough they're leaving all the Oppenheimer awards for later.
  22. Honestly you should go with @Olympian1010 predictions hehe. He has some picks that are being considered "spoilers" by the experts, such as "The Zone of Interest" in Sound and "Red, White and Blue" in Live Actin Short. Also the combo of "Poor Things" for Costume Design/Production Design is safer now than my picks for "Barbie".
