  4. it seems that they started working together last year, specifically she has a pair of Italians actually coaching her together Marco Innocenti and Sandro Bellini. She claims that she is very satisfied with both of them, she feels very comfortable with them from professional and human side. In contrary of Sandro, Marco will even go as one of the chief trainers staff of our shooting team to Tokyo.
  5. off topic. but talking about Italian shotgun, today I learned that Marco Innocenti will go to Tokyo as personal coach of Barteková and will serve as one of coaches of our shotgun team
  6. and a brief return to After GB, Kazakhstan is the 2nd team to present its final roster for the upcoming WCh. They already named the complete 28 players roster which will fly to Riga. And there one huge surprise in the Yuri Mikhailis team. will have to play without their biggest star Nigel Dawes, the naturalized Canadian of Barys Nur-Sultan former Astana had to refuse the invitation due personal family reason. The team has 5 naturalized players, 3 and 2 , especially their goalie Henrik Karlsson is a monster, a very tall goal tender and very very good. As usual the skeleton of the team is composed by players of the only KAZ KHL team Barys Nur-Sultan, 5 players only play abroad in Russian KHL teams and one in the Russian lower VHL, the rest of the team are from the other local main clubs. All in all pending on the form of Karlsson, Kazakhstan should have some troubles to avoid last place in its group, the match against Italy should be interesting, without fear of relegation this year this may be a nice open match with free-minded players, this can be a fun game with a lot of goals, in the remaining games there may be a lot of goals too, but I am affraid mostly in their own net.
  7. Jack Capuano was named as head coach of team will be assisted by Nate Leaman and Adam Nightingale. The 54 years old Capuano is assistant of Ottawa Senators coach and will serve in the USA hockey for 4th time. He already was head coach assistant at 2016 & 2017 World Champonships, in 2005 he coached the USA U18 NT at the 5 Nations Tournament. Chris Drury is again the GM of USA

  9. There will be definitely no +20 goals defeat You won against France in the preparation, it is an opponent that is not always easy to beat. Plus a world championship match is still a world championship match, so I am not worrying about lack of motivation. Each scored goal and played match at this level is a feast. You have won your maintain in the top division fairly, so I am pretty sure the boys will want to enjoy the tournament and confirm that it was not a fluke. Well, you know, here in Slovakia, Italy has always been considered as a team of naturalized North Americans. (I will never forget how Rišo Lintner during one WCh, I can not remember which one it was, said that once at lunch when he did not find a place in the Teams hotel canteen, he sat down at a table with players wearing Italian uniforms and was surprised that they communicated with each other only in English during the whole lunch ) That stereotype has changed in recent years and today's Italian team built on its own players is much more sympathetic to our lay public.
  10. Well, this year is a perfect opportunity to incorporate many young players into the team, allowing them to gain a lot of valuable experience against elite hockey schools. With No worries about relegation, this is the perfect opportunity. Our team will probably be the youngest team in the history of the world championships this year. the age average is already incredibly low right now before last cutting next Sunday. This can pay off significantly in a few years.
  11. The team "Ice Hockey Federation of Russia" jerseys unveiled Following the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) ruling in the case WADA v. RUSADA and with the IIHF being a WADA signatory, changes will be implemented at the venues in the appearance of the ice hockey teams coming from Russia at senior IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships as well as the Olympic Games. The CAS ruling includes several orders for the two-year period of 17 December 2020 to 16 December 2022 for the participation of teams from Russia including that Russian athletes and support personnel can participate in the beforementioned events under certain requirements including that the uniform worn does not contain the flag or crest of the Russian Federation, the Russian national anthem is not played or sung at any official event venue, and the flag of the Russian Federation (current or historical) may not be displayed at the venue by the organizer, athletes and support staff. The time period of the CAS ruling includes the men’s and women’s ice hockey tournaments of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, the 2021 and 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, and the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship. The CAS ruling will be implemented as follows at the venues: The team will be called ROC, the abbreviation of the Russian Olympic Committee The ROC emblem with no wording will be used as flag The game jersey may use the existing jersey colours but may not include the flag, crest or other symbols of the Russian Federation but instead the ROC emblem In post-game and medal ceremonies, Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 is played in place of the anthem of the Russian Federation The game jersey for the upcoming events affected by the CAS ruling will look as in the picture above. A similar jersey is planned for the Olympic ice hockey tournaments in Beijing 2022. IIHF.com
  12. so if I understand correctly our rider will have to beat & and try to not lose much to in Nove Město to qualify this single "Sagan" quota for our NOC ?
  13. 2 races 2 podiums for Danka Barteková 1st place in last month, 3rd place today in Good Olympic season start for our only IOC member. hope she will be able to repeat it also in Tokyo
  14. Seven (7) Players were tested positive for coronavirus in the last testing session... Participation in the World Championships is in question according to some rumors. two big NHL stars Timo Meier and Nico Hischier have decided to join the team for the world championships Huge reinforcement also for Tom Kuhnhackl the double Stanley cup champion with Pittsburgh Penguins confirmed his interest to play at the world champs Forwards Isac Lundestrom (Anaheim) and Marcus Sorensen (San Jose) will reinforce , Sadly "Tre Kronor" can't count on help of defencers Erik Karlsson (San Jose) and Rasmus Dahlin (Buffalo) both refused the invitation. Bad news for Richard Pánik and Andrej Sekera will not play in Riga, both refused the invitation for this year. in other hand the young goalie Adam Húska and forward Robert Lantoši confirmed they will play in Riga, Still waiting on the response of another youngsters Marián Studenič from New Jersey and Christián Jaroš (San Jose) In the same time our 3 U18 kids survived another cut !!! Juraj Slafkovský, Šimon Nemec and Samuel Kňažko are still in the team preparing for the World champs. Megaboarding the Hype trainnnnnnnnnnn

  16. Vit Prindis, Vavrinec Hradilek, Denis Gargaud Chanut, Nicolas Gestin, Camille Prigent, Roman Prigent, Mathieu Biazizzo, Lucie Prioux, Elena Apel, Lena Stoecklin, Franz Anton, Joe Clarke, Adam Burgess, Sophie Ogilvie, Gabriela Satkova, Vojtech Heger, Vaclav Chalupka, Alexander Slafkovsky, Michal Martikan, Jana Dukatova, Martin Halcin, Sona Stanovska, Miren Lazkano, Viktoria Wolffhardt, Luka Bozic etc... this is only a short list of names of athletes who will have to miss the Olympics because they unfortunately lost their national internal qualifiers thanks 1 single boat per NOC rule..and the list is much more longer If you find it normal then there something wrong. it is appropriate to ask the question whether the Olympic Games aspire to the title of the most prestigious sports competition (in the case of canoeing slalom it certainly failed) or just for some entertainment for the whole world with lesser prestigious sports value (in this case it obviously succeeded for canoe slalom) don't get me wrong, I have nothing against other sports, Nothing !, I don't envy them at all !. I also do not have anything against small countries and free quotas for them, Nothing at all. you just have to look at it also from another angle. there is still talk of same value for each olympic discipline, of total equality of the games blah blah blah . nonsense. Go and try to explain to a Czech or a Slovak or a Slovenian that they can only send one of their competitors to a canoe slalom event, even if they have 3 that may very well fight for medals, but the same organizer allow three fencers from the same nation to go to compete at the same event and even all three of them are allowed to win a medal in that competition. again, not get me wrong, nothing against fencing, I do not envy hem, let they have 3 athletes per NOC, let them have 12 events, same for athletics or all other sports.. just do not talk about equality and fair values
