  1. ouch what a miss from Tomáš here, not in the right moment dude, during SWE PP that may be realy costly
  2. Almida doing everything for the Swedes, Eriksson doing everything for the Czechs
  3. Another super shot from Zuzana to steal a 1 in a kinda difficult situation
  4. 5th Group of Athletes departed to Beijing today. The Ice Hockey National Team. However only 18 of the 25 players (+1 Alternate) are now flying to China Peter Cehlárik, Michal Krištof and Mário Grman had positive tests (Krištof thankfully has already the first negative test now, so he still need 3 more in the next days), the situation with Cehlárik and Grman does not look well, since Cehlárik is irreplaceable, the team will wait for him in Beijing until the last possible minute. We play first match next Thursday, but we want have all players on place already for the Monday Training friendly match against . In other hand today also travelled with the team also the first alternate Mislav Rosandič (very likely will have to replace Grman in the squad) so maybe our Croatian friends will now cheer a bit more for Slovakia as he is very proud of his Croatian origins The 4 players whom their Czech clubs refused to release before yesterday last Czech League round, arrived to the Bratislava bubble during the night and thankfully all four have negative tests, they need two more and will be able to join the team in Beijing Friday (Peter Čerešňák, Marek Ďaloga, Miloš Kelemen and Branislav Konrád) Hopefully the next days will fly also Krištof. And in later date also Cehlárik with Grman. Slovakia has never missed the Ice Hockey Tournament since the independence in 1993, something we are really proud of (1994-6th place, 1998-10th, 2002-13th, 2006-5th, 2010-4th, 2014-11th and 2018-11th) Btw. Fun fact from all the rosters of the 12 participating numbers, there only 2 U18 players on the rosters for Beijing 2022 and both are in team. So @heywoodu you can notice only two guys wearing masks aka face cages during the matches and both only in our team Both are this year NHL Top 10 projected draft picks, the defencer Šimon Nemec who will turn 18 during the Round of 16 game and then there obviously "Slaf" a couple of month younger (Košice born ) one of the biggest talents of slovak hockey history Juraj Slafkovský. Both will write history also this year. After playing already the Seniors World Championships in Riga last June, they played also the Olympic Qualification Tournament, The U20 World Championships, now they will play the Olympics Tournament and next April they will play the U18 World Championships and it is already sure they will be again in the 2022 Seniors World Champs. All in 1 year at the age of 17 Bon Voyage guys, Stay healthy, play with hearts, leave everything on the ice and make us proud !
  5. Power Rankings Finally! The 2022 Winter Olympics are about to kick off, and we’re celebrating with our inaugural edition of Olympic women’s hockey Power Rankings. Can the U.S. defend its 2018 Olympic title in Beijing? Will Canada, the world champion, win the Olympics for the first time since Sochi 2014? Or could Finland make history with its first Olympic gold medal of all time? One thing is for sure: those three nations – in that order – set the pace in the pre-tournament rankings. 1 USA Champs, and not just on PlayStation 2 CAN USA can kiss our Xbox 3 FIN All our goalies are good, including Koskinen 4 SUI When it gets too much, we pretend we’re in Sochi 5 ROC Bronze or bust! And if we do it, we get bronze busts 6 CZE Fore-Czech, back-Czech, medal-Czech 7 JPN On special teams, we have ninja skills 8 SWE We’re back and we’re gonna be Rooth-less 9 DEN OMG this is literally the biggest IIHF tournament!!! 10 CHN Welcome! They are distinct from the official standings and IIHF Women's World Ranking.

  7. Yeah much better from Ninis and expected much worse from Skupek I just hope Jozef will make it to the 4th Heat this time in his last Olympics, will be hard to be in top 20 though. For Skupek a Top 30 would be nice.
  8. Absolutely awesom. To be fair I had no faith on them after that bad power play in the 7th. Being 3-6 down before last end with NOR having last stone advantage. Wow what an epic return. will follow this team closely, they seriously have potential to do something crazy in this tournament.
  9. Round-Robin Day 1 RESULTS (GMT +8) Warning Spoiler: Do not open if you do not want to know the results
  10. jeez by some cm... however a 3 in the last end so 6-6 on to the 9th end
  11. what a mistake from Skaslien. The Czechs can win this by a 4 in the 8th end. wow
  12. Skupek beat Ninis by more than 1 second Will he kick Jozef from the relay ?
  13. Bad power play from the Czechs, at least they saved only 1 for otherwise the atch would probably end after the 7th.. 3 down before last end with NOR advantage of last stone
  14. Try this https://results.beijing2022.cn/beijing-2022/olympic-games/en/results/all-sports/olympic-daily-schedule-date=2022-02-02.htm
  15. At home Right at time and the two weeks holiday (Thanks doc ) can start. Lets do some mixed doubles curling yeah...Čechy do toho Not planing to step out of my bubble the next 18 days
  16. Cehlárik still positive - does not look good at all here, but since it is our must #1 player we will wait as long as necessary Krištof had negative test, here it looks better, he wil stay in the Bratislava bubble and if in the next 2-3 days will have 3 more negative tests he will fly solo to Beijing. Grman had again questionable result, so to not endanger anyone he will stay as well in the bubble, hopefully he will collect 4 negative tests in the next days and will fly to China as well. Goaltenders coach Lašák had false positive test yesterday, the retested same test of Monday showed it was really the case and was negative, also his yesterday test was negative and thus will fly with the team today. The players who joined the bubble on Monday (apart Krištof) are all negative and will fly today as well. More later after the departure on the Winter Olympics News thread
  17. Slovakia: 1-2-0-3 That must be a copy/paste from PyeongChang 2018 I see, but Kuzmina is no longer there
