  4. Yep, Rastorgujevs is banned which is a major blow for M team, In other hand I am pretty sure Japan will overtake them and qualify a full relay, their male team is really competitive.
  5. Stage 1 in Ruka (FIN) Men´s Individual Gundersen Large Hill (5km): 1. Jarl Magnus Riiber 12:16.1 2. Johannes Lamparter 12:36.3 3. Jens Luraas Oftebro 12:38.3 Full Final Result HERE
  6. So ysesterday was the expected deadline about the situation... and there absolutely still no news released from IIHF/IOC ... so obviously time for some international conspiracy/Hoaxes/rumors festival
  7. Well our team is nowhere to be safe for the 4 quotas. Currently 18th in the olympic qualification only a couple of points ahead of Bulgaria and not far at all from the 21st place. So I would also at least keep an eye on the Fialková sisters IBU points.
  8. Stage 1 in Ruka (FIN) Men´s Sprint Classical: 1. Alexander Terentev 2. Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo 3. Erik Valnes Full Final Result HERE
  9. Stage 1 in Ruka (FIN) Women´s Sprint Classical: 1. Maja Dahlqvist 2. Johanna Haggstroem 3. Maiken Caspersen Falla Full Final Result HERE
  10. Nova Sport is Czech. JOJ Šport is a new channel, half of the country still does not have it yet (me neither, my TV cable company still has not included this TV channel to its service) but will have to do it soon, since they have the rights for Ice Hockey World Champs from 2024 Btw when speaking about it. I know you like watching Hockey on our TVs, I have also a good news for you. RTVS will start its sport TV channel the 20th December from 17:00. RTVS Šport. Was really about time, we are like the last European National public TV to do it... Beijing 2022, Ice Hockey Worlds 2022 and Football WC in Qatar being their top attractions for the upcoming year but also Tour de France, Biathlon World Cup, European Football Cups, Slovak Hockey League etc.. The first action of the new channel will be the Ice Hockey World Juniors traditionally during the Christmas-New Years holidays. As Public TV it will be free also on satelite Astra 23,5°E https://www.rtvs.sk/sport/naladte-sa-na-sport
  11. well, beating the reigning Olympic bronze medalist is already something ! to be fair
  12. As our friend already answered, the last one is slightly darker blue with one red line under the USA logo. The first one has lighter blue and no lines above and under the logo.
  13. Well, what can we do But if a NT is capable to lose by double digit even to Albania it can hardly expect to be taken seriously or promote its sport. But, The truth is that basketball has never been particularly popular or extremely followed in our region, although there have been some attempts by some media after the fall of the Iron Curtain, they began in the early 90s (Dream Team and Jordan/Johnson era) broadcasting and advertising NBA broadcasts and stuff, but the initial interest quickly declined after 2-3 years. Now, I can not even remember last time I saw a minute or two of male basketball in our TV (except Tokyo 2020 final). Women's basketball is by a couple of galaxies more successful than the mens one and basically the chicks themselves keeps the entire basketball federation alive, thanks to women they are still receiving very decent financial support from the state etc...which is absolutely insane when you take in mind which results the Mens are able to return and it stay like this decades and decades now lol, but even if W Basketball is more more more successful It is still certainly not real to claim that it is also super popular. Like Barely Hundred of people at most attend matches. Well, lt is not surprising from Turkey. I obviously know the sport is extremely popular in the Balkan and basically the whole south Europe.
  14. Still not sure how exactly SVK male team managed to qualify for this qualifiers, I guess this will remains as one of those unsolved misteries of life like the Bermuda triangle...but however after some millions years SVK male basketball team played its first official qualification main round match today - 57-83 at home. in normal times it maybe would be a huge holiday for all our cca 237 basketball fans in the country but since it was the first lockdown day today, this huge moment of history was played behind closed doors
  15. Internet exploded today with memes. Some of them are just hilarious
  16. First positive covid-19 case confirmed in the Ruka Triple WC Opener. and it was ... a unnamed member of the Slovak team. Yikes. Good start of the Olympic season
  17. The truth is that I'm not very sure how it exactly works with this accommodation of foreigners thing. As travels are basically still allowed between countries and there are some international events on the agenda, such as a basketball qualification SVK-BEL or a Euroleague football between Slovan and PAOK or other events like FIS races. I mean, Those people still have to be accommodated somewhere, right ? It is quite cold here . So I think there is probably some exception from the lockdown measures this case, maybe foreigners can be accomodated even in hotels or stuff like that but only in somethinkg like just sleep and stay mode, so no Fitness, no wellness, no meals in the restaurants etc... for example. I will have to look at this in more detail. In any case, if the lockdown ends after those 2 weeks like promissed, remember that Slovakia will return to the covid map-automat system. The district in black will have to be basically still in a sort of a mild lockdown (mass events with limited attendance etc...). Štrbské Pleso is the Poprad district in the north of the map right of Liptovský Mikuláš and north of Brezno & Spišská Nová Ves. The map is updated at the Bottom of the article every Tuesday https://korona.gov.sk/covid-automat-na-slovensku/ Anyway, no worries, I will try to keep you in touch and inform you in time about everything you need as much I can. You can count on me.
  18. Yes correct. International recognized competitions are allowed without spectators. Athletes (Vaccinated or not) will just have to present a negative PCR or Antigen test (Rapid Test) no older than 48 hours, wear mask before and after the race, same for the team staff. Once again the major issue should be the accommodation. hotels must be closed. but once again as you said it is for the next 2 weeks until 9th december midnight. so the situation should be different after. but yeah, we already experienced that "2-weeks lockdown - Made in Slovakia" pattern already last year and the 2 weeks lasted from All-saints eve (Halloween) last October week to the first week after the Easter in April so who knows
  19. and for what concern sports : Mass events in Slovakia will be banned from Thursday after the introduction of the two-week lockdown, but professional sports competitions can continue without the participation of spectators. Dáša Račková, a spokeswoman for the Public Health Office (ÚVZ) of the Slovak Republic, informed about it on yesterday. According to Račková, testing of players and members of the team staff will also be mandatory. The activities in the specail quarantine training center for elite athletes will be permitted only with the consent of the Ministries of Health and Education, the spokeswoman added. The exception for professional competitions applies to the two highest Ice Hockey Leagues (Tipos Extraliga and SHL - Slovak Hockey League (2nd tier division)) and 2 highest Football leagues (Fortuna League and II. League), Only Top Tier M & W Handball, Top Tier M & W Volleyball and Top Tier M & W Basketball League (lol). International competitions organized by the International Sports Federation and mass events necessary for the operation of quarantine training centers for top athletes, approved by the relevant ministries, are also allowed. The participation of spectators in the allowed event is prohibited according to the ÚVZ decree. Testing of players and members of the club/team staff using the RT-PCR test or the antigen test will be provided by the clubs before each round (no more than 48 hours before the match), but no more than once every seven days. Clubs must provide a sufficient number of security staff to monitor compliance with preventive measures.

  21. so here it is in inglischhh https://spectator.sme.sk/c/22790201/slovakia-enters-all-out-lockdown.html The last one is the most funny.
