The basis for this is the incorrect use of the flag during Thursday’s semi-final match of the European Championship between Slovenia and Poland in the PalaLottomatica arena. The organizers used the Slovak flag instead of the Slovenian flag on the LED billboards, the LED cube and in the official competition bulletin. This confused the management of the Slovenian national team all the more because it was not the first time this had happened. “This is not the first such behavior by the organizers of the biggest competitions under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation, at OZS we expect an apology from the organizers, the Italian Volleyball Federation and the European Volleyball Confederation, and at the same time we request the European Volleyball Confederation to tighten control over the organizers of the competitions and thus avoid such incidents in the future situations,” announced the Slovenian Federation.

2 finalists is great for us, Quite unusual in a olympic event at a major event. Danka is really such great ambassador for this sport and great motivation for slovak girls, it is no coincidence that we have already 2 qualified athletes for Paris in this. And one of them even finished only as 3rd best Slovak today out of the final. Also no coincidence that this year we had a junior world champion in W Skeet, a young girl who can enter and reinforce the seniors NT in the next seasons. This is all Danka´s legacy, contribution and merit. In other side, and it is really weird, among men, we are completely inexistant. Even here we had no entry at all in M Skeet. Go and figure
