  1. We didn’t have speakers or commentary at the Soldier Hollow World Cup (at least not that you could hear). I do agree with @Agger that having to watch a race by looking a TV to see the skiing, looking at my phone to see the shooting stats, and using my tablet to look at the times is highly annoying.
  2. Which is why Individual should be kept on the program . I’m allowed to say “We should keep this, it’s just not the most interesting event”. By decreeing the end of times, you’re showing your age too
  3. Personally, my three favorites: Welcome Home (which I voted for), Friends for Life, and The Celebration of the Century. Besides that, 88’s has a nice tone, and 2000 and 2012 are meh. The rest aren’t great. If I could make some suggestions for Tokyo: Rings of Fire, Blooming Friendship, Blossoming Peace
  4. Munich’s motto seems painfully ironic...
  5. Just gonna pretend like 1936 isn’t there...
  6. It’s more about having a tangible race. It’s not fin to watch something we’re bib 3 lays down the best time, and then isn’t reasonably challenged until bib 103. I love the individual because it makes places emphasis on the shooting for once, but people have a point. Time trial races are annoying to follow.
  7. Also, did anyone else put Asian Winter Games, Winter EYOF, and Winter Universaide for “other” under what competitions do you watch?
  8. World cup atmosphere is awesome, fan zone should be like a little festival, and there should definitely be more screens.
  9. Yeah, I’m with @Wumo on the schedule. Scrap the gender relays in favor of the mixed gender relays, protect the individual, and limit the amount of sprints.
  10. Anyone get the impression that this was the IBU altering fans to the fact they have a video game in development? I wouldn’t mind a good live results, course map, shooting stats app as well.
  11. Yep The GOP is a political party. The Democrats are everyone not that. It’s been an issue in the past, and it’s going to be an issue this year. 30-40% of the party wants Bernie, 30-40% wants a moderate, and 20% wants something in the middle, there’s going 30% that refuse to endorse the other sides candidate, especially after this long and painful primary. I’ve already decided that I will refuse to vote for Bloomberg. I’ll waste my vote on Hawkins or La Riva instead in the general election. The only exception to me being “Bernie or bust” at this point is Warren or Klobuchar for the sole prospect of having our first woman president. Maybe, and a big one at that, I could support Buttigieg since he’d be the first gay president. Plus, he’s at least somewhat close to my viewpoints (compared to the other “moderates”).
  12. Nah, they’ll be in Tokyo. Though they did set the precedent for banning nations from Olympic competitions due to disease...
  13. And so begins the battle of the democratic titans... I’m not a fan of these “Bernie Bro’s”, but I also know that every other candidate has the exact same followers.
  14. Pretty good season premiere Also have been intensely watching The Outsider on HBO. Great production, acting, plot, and overall look. Can’t get enough of this show currently. HBO’s new comedy Avenue 5 is also pretty good. I’ve really enjoyed the first four episodes. Netflix’s Locke and Key was pretty bad. The acting was meh, and the plot was stereotypical. The thing that helped me make it to the end of the season was the actual concept of the show.
  15. “A new world” was bad, at least “Inspire A Generation” gave the games a true goal, and got the people of Great Britain to unite around them. This Tokyo2020 is ass. They could have come up with so much better.
  16. The MLB is an embarrassment to the sport. Mandated defending not punishing the Astros in any form for cheating, while saying harsh penalties will come the way of players and teams that voice their opinion. Fuck that. I sincerely hope the Astros are booed for the entire season, and that betters have a right few weeks in the box.
  17. Since the motto will be revealed tomorrow, what’s y’all’s favorite?
  18. My heart goes out to her family. I’m not a huge Disney fan, but I did really love this movie
  19. For sure. There’s a NASCAR race that weekend? Yep, all true. God you’re old Never was a fan of all-star weekend. I think it would be fun they did some skills contest (like the NBA dunk competition, or MBL Home Run Derby, etc.). Maybe have a go cart race, or a race with some insane rules. I do love the pit-stop competition. Always made sure to tune in to that as a kid.
  20. There’s as much difference in NASCAR races as there is between luge tracks. There is slightly different layout or gimmick, but it’s the same shit week after week. The difference is there’s actual competition in luge.
  21. You could race in the rain like every other races series on the planet...
  22. There’s literally zero difference. Someone dominates the race, only to lose to someone else. Half the field gets lapped because they’re not competitive. There’s 1-3 big crashes. A bunch of pointless yellow flags. No wet weather races. Only 2-3 non-oval races.
  23. 5 at best. Daytona 500, Talledega 500, Darlington, Bristol, Indy. I agree with @Federer91 that the season is much too long, and had too many pointless races. There’s also less entries now, and they struggle to get fans to attend the “filler” races.
  24. I watched as a religious fan for about a decade (half of my life, more than half actually), I never heard of either of these. There was the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte, but I never considered that one of the big races.
