  1. Also, a vote that may have flown under the radar, Puerto Rico appears to have voted in favor of becoming a state once more.
  2. National Popular Vote (currently) - Biden: 74,857,880 Trump: 70,588,535 California Popular Vote (currently) - Biden: 8,969,107 Trump: 4,630,099 Biden’s lead in California is 4.3 million, which is about equal to his national lead. Edit: math was wrong in original post, apologies.
  3. IWGA made some changes to their Games model and Constitution: https://www.theworldgames.org/news/The-World-Games-17/Radical-new-strategy-approved-at-first-virtual-AGM-2058
  4. Kamala Harris would be the first female, first African American, and first (South) Asian American Vice President of the United States.
  5. AP has called Arizona and Pennsylvania for Biden, which puts him at 284 by their count.
  6. This is the loss I’m most disappointed about.
  7. I didn’t forget about this question by the way. I didn’t cast my vote by way of mail-in ballot, so I’m not entirely familiar with the system, which is why I don’t feel qualified to answer your question in-depth. I know voter signature verification is used in California as one method of security. I know some states use multiple envelopes to increase security. The methods, rules, etc. are different in every state though. I know some states like Washington, Utah, Colorado already gave all voters the option to vote by mail or vote in-person, even before this election.
  8. It looks like Rhode Island has passed the measure to eliminate “Providence Plantations” from it’s name.
  9. I heard the government wants to cull the entire mink population. Is that the plan?
  10. I think we should go with the Speed Skating Mass Start format. In the first four legs, the winning team gets 250 points/second 200 points/third 150 points/fourth 100 points/fifth 50 points/sixth 25 points/seventh 10 points. Then in the last leg, the winning team gets 1500 points/second 1250 points/third 1000 points/fourth 750 points/fifth 500 points/sixth 250 points/seventh 10 points.
  11. Which isn’t an impossible scenario in modern pentathlon...
  12. AP has called Michigan for Biden.
  13. Apparently things are getting very tense at the Wayne Country (Detroit) ballot counting center. It appears as though supporters of Donald Trump have shown up in order to try and shutdown the ballot counting. I’ll see if I can find some reliable video sources.
  14. Yeah, that’s been tightening in the background as well.
  15. AP projects Biden will win Wisconsin.
  16. I don’t know that information either. My guess would be that perhaps the ballots are scanned (and counted by computer) and then counted manually in order to ensure accuracy. They could also just be counting the raw number of votes checked. Counting mail-in ballots is also a multi-step process, so it could have something else to do with that process.
