I think you meant the 50m butterfly? . That's the event where she has the top 25 times of all time which isn't an Olympic event. In the 100, she would be in a tough battle with Zhang, MacNeil, Koehler, McKeon and the two Americans. Also, I believe she's mentioned that ever since she slipped on ice, she's been finding it more painful than in the past to do the 100m.

Never said I was concerned. Just some comment I saw on swim swam from a guy who has some insight (though I have no idea how reliable it is). Will definitely be interesting to see if she swims it at trials or not. Given what we've seen, she could be in a log jam with about 6 other swimmers who could qualify for the relay.

Not everyday you see Slovakia in a swimming relay final! @hckošice Of course if helps that Sweden, Hungary and South Africa scratched out but still impressive.

Great swim by Taylor Ruck in the 50 free heats. 24.84 and qualifies for the semis in 7th. Looks like she's shifted her focus to the 50/100 free.

Mary-Sophie Harvey is swimming at the Quebec Cup this weekend. She's set a couple lifetime bests in the 100m butterfly (58.12) and 50m butterfly (27.28). Also swam the 100m freestyle in 54.93 But the most exciting result is her 200m freestyle time of 1:57.26. PB by half a second and under the OQT but this isn't a qualifying competition unfortunately. Good signs for Paris.

For those that didn't watch, here's the finish of the relay today. One of the best relay races I've ever seen. 3 guys (Foster, Pan and Hwang) all had splits under 1:44.00

Great nights for Netherlands and China Steenbergen and Schouten with gold medals and with massive PBs. Thought Corbeau would also get gold but that was a monster last 50m by Dong to take gold. And that was an amazing end to the relay. Very fun to watch and a very enjoyable night of swimming overall.

Apparently there was a tie in for 8th place in the women's 800m heats but there's no swim off. There'll be 9 swimmers in the final.
