  1. Yeah, that Poland recap clip is an absolute tragedy. Doesn't do the song justice at all.
  2. There are no words to describe the beauty of the Swiss song! I felt like I was transported to another world. Thank goodness the camera didn't glitch this time
  3. Greek song is another one that's really grown on me in the last few days
  4. This was my 2nd favorite song entering the final but not sure if this performance was as good as the semis. Still hope to see if place well though!
  5. The Latvian song is beautiful! Would love to see them place in the top 10
  6. The British girls definitely know how to sing but I don't like the song at all to say the least
  7. If Estonia wins, I'm never ordering a macchiato ever again
  8. For anyone curious, here's how many views each semi-finals performance has on YouTube as of the time of the post. Some interesting results.
  9. Maybe because Jalonen isn't the head coach anymore and the new one isn't as competent?
  10. Mary-Sophie Harvey at the Giant Open this weekend: 200 Free: 1:56.76 (7th in the world this year) 400 Free: 4:05.42 (new PB and 8th in the world this year) 200 Breast: 2:24.22 (new PB and 14th in the world this year) 200 IM: 2:09.44 (new PB and 5th in the world this year) 400m IM: 4:35.73 (new PB and 5th in the world this year)
  11. Finland only beat Austria by 1 goal?
  12. Definitely the best team we've sent to world championships since 2015. I suspect a lot of guys want to showcase that they belong on the Olympic team next year. On this team, Crosby, MacKinnon, and probably Binnington (thanks to his 4 nations performance) are the only lock as. Everyone else is on the bubble at best.
  13. Rosters | 2025 IIHF World Championship - Canada - 2025 IIHF World Championship Roster for the men's world championships should be finalized (barring 1 or 2 additions from eliminated NHL playoff teams). By far the best team since 2015. Many players trying to make a case for the Olympic team next year. Crosby, MacKinnon (and probably Binnington) are the only locks.
  14. Phillip Danault, Jordan Binnington, and Brayden Schenn have been added to the Canadian roster

  16. Peterman and Gallant are officially the first Canadian athletes named to Milano Cortina 2026. Curlers Peterman & Gallant are first athletes nominated to Team Canada for Milano Cortina 2026 - Team Canada - Official Olympic Team Website
  17. Looks like Fleury isn't quite retired yet because he's joining the Canadian team
  18. MacKinnon is going to play as well apparently
  19. Kharun goes 50.42 in the 100m butterfly. That's a new PB for him!
  20. It's only the prelims of the pro swim series, but Gretchen Walsh has already broken the 100m butterfly World Record: 55.09
  21. He has the record outright. He might just be better at sprinting now. Herbie Behm, the new ASU coach, is mostly known for coaching sprinters. Meanwhile, Summer clocked 2:06.82 in the 200m backstroke placing 2nd to Regan Smith.
  22. Marc-Andre Fleury (ice hockey) played his final game yesterday. He was a gold medalist in 2010 and also won 3 Stanley cups (NHL championship trophy) and the best goalie award in 2021 during his career.
  23. At the end of the day, she didn't go quite as fast as prelims finishing the 3rd in the final in 27.53. Summer raced the 400m freestyle and finished in a time of 3:58.28 which was actually faster than her time from Paris. She was on world record pace at 300m but died in the last 50m. Meanwhile, Ledecky seems to have regained her 2016 form winning the race in 3:56.81. Some other good news is that Penny seems to be rounding back in form. She placed 5th in the 100 free final finishing in 53.89. Meanwhile, a day to forget for Kharun. Was over 2 minutes in the 200 fly prelims and failed to make the final.
  24. At the pro swim series, Kylie Masse broke her Canadian record in the 50m backstroke going 27.13 in prelims. We'll see if she can better that in the final tonight
