  1. Pieter Coetze with a 51.99 100m backstroke swim at WUGs today! #1 time in the world. Will be interesting to see if he can maintain this form in a week at World Championships
  2. Finally seeing some growing depth in the 200m butterfly behind Kharun. Benjamin Loewen is 4th in the semis in 1:56.71. Patrick Hussey is 7th in 1:57.54. Both are PB's. Both have a chance to improve in the final tomorrow.
  3. Will never forget his playoff run with Montreal in 2010. He was on another level those first 2 rounds.
  4. Nice to see Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan win medals in swimming
  5. Big 2:10.10 PB for Delia Lloyd today in the 200m backstroke semis. A medal will be hard to come by though with the American backstroke factory being locks for 1st and 2nd
  6. Won't have time to watch but will definitely keep up with the results, especially with swimming
  7. Water quality is good now. Men's race will start at 1pm local time with the women's race to follow
  8. Both men's and women's races are postponed again
  9. Zac Stubblety-Cook is out of the world championships because of a back injury
  10. I am a simple man. I see that Summer McIntosh is competing, I get excited. But yeah, still better to have it every 2 years
  11. List of athletes You can click here to view the athletes by event Anti-doping data was also released which contains a list of swimmers and what events they are swimming.
  12. Entries have appeared on the World Aquatics website
  13. Swimming entries don't officially appear on the World Aquatics website yet. However, anti-doping test data with all athletes in attendance have been released along with their events. There's some changes from trials. Oliver Dawson has been entered in the 50 breast and the 200 breast but not the 100m breaststroke. At trials, he only reached the secondary standard in the 200m breast Brooklyn Douthwright is entered in the 100 fly. Makes sense considering the two swimmers in front of her, Harvey and Jansen, both have events on the same day Ethan Ekk is entered in the 800 free despite not swimming it at trials. He'll swim that along with the 200 back(AQUA A cut) and 400 free (secondary standard) Ruslan Gaziev is the athlete who'll be in the 100m free. There was some debate about whether or not Liendo would still swim it since he had the A cut in the qualifying period but Gaziev did not As expected, MSH is dropping the 100m fly (despite winning the event and trials) and swimming 4 events: 200 free, 200 breast, 200 IM, 400 IM Finlay Knox is entered in the 100m breastdespite scratching the final at trials. This goes along with his signature 200 IM event Josh Liendo is entered in the 50 fly despite scratching the event at trials. I believe he has the A-cut courtesy of the first 50 of his silver medal 100 fly performance. As expected, he's also entered in the 50m free and 100m fly With Penny Oleksiak dropping out, Taylor Ruck is now entered in the 50 free and 100 free events. She'll swim 4 events along with the 100 back (A-cut) and 50 fly (secondary standard) ANTOINE SAUVE IS SWIMMING THE INDIVIDUAL 200 FREE!!!!! Everything else is as expected. I found the data here
  14. Singapore (SGP) - 11 July 2025 - 3 August 2025 Official Website Programme Results System Facebook Page Discussion Thread
  15. I'm gonna be so mad if Summer gets selected for 4x100 free relay duty especially now with Penny not being there. She'll already have swum 2 x 400 free + 2 x 200 IM that day already
  16. Some fireworks from Japan this weekend. 2009 born Shin Ohashi put up times of 59.03 and 2:07.27 in the 100m and 200m breaststroke events. The 200m breaststroke time is a World Junior Record. His 100m breaststroke time ranks 4th in the world this year and the 200m breaststroke time ranks 2nd in the world this year. However, he won't be going to World Championships because two swimmers were faster than him in both events at Japanese Trials back in March.

  22. According to Devin, Summer is scratching the 200 free tomorrow. So her World Championship lineup will be 400 free, 800 free, 200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM.
  23. I'm sure at this point, people are sick of me talking about Summer McIntosh. However, she did break her 3rd record of the meet tonight. This time, she rebroke her 400 IM World Record for the 3rd straight Canadian Trials finishing in a time of 4:23.65. Yesterday, she came close to breaking the crazy super-suited 200m butterfly World Record finishing with the 2nd fastest time in history in a time of 2:02.26.
