  1. dang, Hansson and Pudar miss out on the final
  2. I believe Short and Hafnaoui swam the 7th and 8th fastest performances of all time. They are also the 4th and 5th fastest performers of all time.
  3. What a great first race! Hafnaoui showing that his olympic gold wasn't a fluke
  4. Yes, I agree with you and I think China takes the other women's quota. But then again, as GB found out this morning, there's always the chance of a DQ
  5. Relay lineups for finals: Men's 4x100 free: Liendo -> Gaziev -> Knox -> Acevedo Women's 4x100m free: McIntosh -> MacNeil -> Harvey -> Ruck

  8. The men's relay qualified in 4th. Hopefully Fullum-Huot can step it up a bit in the final, the other 3 looked solid
  9. Wow GB DQ'd in the men's 4x100m relay heats!!! There goes one of the favourites
  10. Shayna Jack 52.28 100m free leadoff!!! Oh, and she's not swimming the individual 100m free because there's two Australians better than her
  11. Well the women's relay went better than expected. Should be enough for the final. MacNeil with a new PB: 53.77. That's under the olympic consideration time.
  12. Marchand with a comfortable 4:10. We're officially on World Record watch tonight
  13. Wigginton 4:13.75 400 IM! That's a PB. That 4:12.50 OQT looks within reach now Edit: Just made it under the consideration time
  14. Miraculously only one DQ during the 100m breaststroke heats
  15. Summer easily through to the final. Jansen with a 4:12 in prelims though. That does not bode well for the 4x200 relay
  16. So Ledecky in lane 4, Titmus in lane 5, and McIntosh in lane 3 for tonight's 400m freestyle final. Buckle up your seatbelts folks!
  17. Sam Short 3:42.44 in prelims!!! No Italians or Americans in the final
  18. whoa Costa and Hafnaoui beat out Martens in that heat! wasn't expecting that
  19. Good start for Harvey! She qualifies for the semis in 3rd with a time of 2:09.65
  20. I am not the biggest fan of the new graphics so far
  21. Relay lineups for prelims: Men's 4x100 free: Gaziev -> Acevedo -> Fullum-Huot -> Liendo Pretty much the A lineup. 3/4ths of a quality team. Glad Liendo is on the end so he can hopefully hunt down some teams in front of him. Wouldn't be surprised if they made the final or didn't make the final Women's 4x100m free: MacNeil -> Harvey -> Savard -> Ruck Looks like we've opted for the veteran swimmers over the youngsters. Very risky to put Ruck on anchor if she isn't in form. Hopefully her being on anchor means that the coaches are confident in her swimming.
  22. Some big scratches to report for the first prelims session: Both Daniel Wiffen and Danas Rapsys have scratched the men's 400m freestyle while Simona Quadarella has scratched the women's 400m freestyle
  23. Women's water polo team beat South Africa 21-6 in the crossover match. They'll now face the Netherlands in the quarterfinals.
