  1. With two weeks to go until the opening ceremony and with countries finalizing their rosters, it's time for the big question!
  2. + 1 for in alpine skiing from reallocation to bring them to 6 athletes. some more teams whose sizes should be set. Australia: 44 Alpine Skiing: 4 Bobsleigh: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 6 Curling: 2 Figure Skating: 2 Freestyle Skiing: 13 Luge: 1 Short Track: 1 Skeleton: 2 Snowboarding: 11 Great Britain: 49 Alpine Skiing: 4 Bobsleigh: 6 Cross-Country Skiing: 3 Curling: 10 Figure Skating: 3 Freestyle Skiing: 11 Luge: 1 Short Track: 3 Skeleton: 4 Snowboarding: 3 Speed Skating: 1 New Zealand: 16 Alpine Skiing: 2 Biathlon: 1 Freestyle Skiing: 9 Snowboarding: 3 Speed Skating: 1 Puerto Rico: 2 Alpine Skiing: 1 Skeleton: 1 ROC: 211 Alpine Skiing: 7 Biathlon: 10 Bobsleigh: 12 Cross-Country Skiing: 16 Curling: 10 Figure Skating: 18 Freestyle Skiing: 23 Ice Hockey: 48 Luge: 10 Nordic Combined: 3 Short Track: 9 Skeleton: 6 Ski Jumping: 9 Snowboarding: 14 Speed Skating: 16 Sweden: 117 Alpine Skiing: 9 Biathlon: 11 Cross-Country Skiing: 16 Curling: 11 Figure Skating: 2 Freestyle Skiing: 14 Ice Hockey: 48 Luge: 2 Ski Jumping: 1 Snowboarding: 2 Speed Skating: 1 Trinidad and Tobago: 2 Bobsleigh: 2
  3. Aha! I knew this was going to be one of the poll questions. I'm biased so I voted for Canada. Even though I think the US will win more gold, I still think Canada will win slightly more total medals. The freestyle skiing and snowboarding events will be a key factor to determining who gets more.
  4. Interesting development in women's moguls as Germany has rejected both their women's moguls quotas suddenly. The reallocations went to Kazakhstan and ROC.
  5. Jeffrey Webb (Alpine Skiing) https://www.thestar.com.my/sport/others/2022/01/20/young-pair-out-to-shine-on-snow Ana Cvetanovska (Cross-Country Skiing) & Dardan Dehari (Alpine Skiing) https://mok.org.mk/site/newsdetails/зои-пекинг-2022
  6. Czech Republic: 113 Alpine Skiing: 6 Biathlon: 10 Bobsleigh: 4 Cross-Country Skiing: 11 Curling: 2 Figure Skating: 6 Freestyle Skiing: 2 Ice Hockey: 48 Luge: 4 Nordic Combined: 4 Short Track: 1 Skeleton: 1 Ski Jumping: 7 Snowboarding: 5 Speed Skating: 2 France: 85 Alpine Skiing: 17 Biathlon: 12 Bobsleigh: 6 Cross-Country Skiing: 13 Figure Skating: 4 Freestyle Skiing: 13 Nordic Combined: 5 Short Track: 4 Ski Jumping: 2 Snowboarding: 9
  7. I think we've rejected more quotas than the Netherlands this cycle . Does anyone know if we'll end up returning them or if they'll just become wasted quotas?
  8. Team Canada Men: Jules Burnotte (Sherbrooke, QC) Christian Gow (Calgary, AB) Scott Gow (Calgary, AB) Adam Runnalls (Calgary, AB) Women: Megan Bankes (Calgary, AB) Sarah Beaudry (Prince George, BC) Emily Dickson (Burns Lake, BC) Emma Lunder (Vernon, BC)
  9. Finland: 96 Alpine Skiing: 4 Biathlon: 8 Cross-Country Skiing: 13 Figure Skating: 3 Freestyle Skiing: 6 Ice Hockey: 48 Nordic Combined: 5 Ski Jumping: 5 Snowboarding: 4 Georgia: 9 Alpine Skiing: 2 Figure Skating: 6 Luge: 1 Japan: 124 Alpine Skiing: 3 Biathlon: 6 Cross-Country Skiing: 8 Curling: 5 Figure Skating: 10 Freestyle Skiing: 12 Ice Hockey: 23 Luge: 1 Nordic Combined: 5 Short Track: 7 Ski Jumping: 9 Snowboarding: 20 Speed Skating: 15 Moldova: 5 Biathlon: 4 Luge: 1
  10. Now with the alpine skiing quotas reallocated, we should have a team of 216 211 athletes: 13 alpine skiiers, 8 biathletes, 18 bobsledders, 9 cross-country skiiers, 12 curlers, 13 figure skaters, 32 freestyle skiiers, 48 ice hockey players, 6 lugers, 10 short track speed skaters, 3 skeleton racers, 4 ski jumpers, 24 19 snowboarders and 16 long track speed skaters. Edit: Um, so we accepted 7 PGS quotas but we're only sending 2 athletes?
  11. Canada: 211 Alpine Skiing: 13 Biathlon: 8 Bobsleigh: 18 Cross-Country Skiing: 9 Curling: 12 Figure Skating: 13 Freestyle Skiing: 32 Ice Hockey: 48 Luge: 6 Short Track: 10 Skeleton: 3 Ski Jumping: 4 Snowboarding: 19 Speed Skating: 16
  12. Team event quotas are now on the site. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
  13. Some more team sizes that should be final. Belarus: 29 Alpine Skiing: 1 Biathlon: 10 Cross-Country Skiing: 4 Figure Skating: 2 Freestyle Skiing: 7 Speed Skating: 5 Bulgaria: 16 Alpine Skiing: 3 Biathlon: 8 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Figure Skating: 1 Luge: 1 Ski Jumping: 1 Snowboarding: 1 Don't think the biathlon quotas are official for Bulgaria yet but I can't imagine that they would reject any. If one of the Bulgarian's could confirm, that would be great. United States: 222 Alpine Skiing: 17 Biathlon: 8 Bobsleigh: 12 Cross-Country Skiing: 14 Curling: 11 (Chris Plys doing both men's and mixed doubles) Figure Skating: 16 Freestyle Skiing: 32 Ice Hockey: 48 Luge: 8 Nordic Combined: 5 Short Track: 7 Skeleton: 3 Ski Jumping: 3 Snowboarding: 26 Speed Skating: 12 Even with how big the US team is, I don't believe there's any more quotas that can be reallocated to them.
  14. I think China will be at 170 because one halfpipe and one slopestyle/big air quota will both be used on Eileen Gu.
  15. Belarus Men: Mikita Labastau Dzmitry Lazouski Anton Smolski Maksim Varabei Raman Yaliotnau Women: Dzinara Alimbekava Elena Kruchinkina Irina Kruchinkina Iryna Leschanka Hanna Sola Norway Men: Filip Fjeld Andersen Sivert Guttorm Bakken Johannes Thingnes Boe Tarjei Boe Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen Sturla Holm Laegreid Women: Tiril Eckhoff Emilie Kalkenberg Karoline Knotten Ida Lien Marte Olsbu Roeiseland Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold
  16. Should be 26 for Estonia. Estonia: 26 Alpine Skiing: 2 Biathlon: 8 Cross-Country Skiing: 9 Figure Skating: 2 Freestyle Skiing: 1 Nordic Combined: 1 Ski Jumping: 2 Speed Skating: 1 also, Jamaica: 6 Alpine Skiing: 1 Bobsleigh: 5
  17. Denmark should field a team of 62 athletes in 5 different sports. They are the 5th reserve in men's skeleton and the 3rd reserve in two-man bobsleigh but it's unlikely that they'll get those quotas. Denmark: 62 Alpine Skiing: 1 Biathlon: 1 Curling: 10 Ice Hockey: 48 Speed Skating: 2
  18. Barring some massive quota rejections in cross-country skiing and bobsleigh, it should be safe to assume the following team sizes of the following countries: Andorra: 4 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 2 Azerbaijan: 2 Figure Skating: 2 Bolivia: 2 Alpine Skiing: 1 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Eritrea: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Hong Kong: 3 Alpine Skiing: 2 Short Track: 1 Iceland: 5 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 3 Liechtenstein: 2 Alpine Skiing: 1 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Luxembourg: 2 Alpine Skiing: 2 Malta: 1 Snowboarding: 1 Mexico: 4 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Figure Skating: 1 Montenegro: 3 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Morocco: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 North Macedonia: 3 Alpine Skiing: 1 Cross-Country Skiing: 2 Peru: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Saudi Arabia: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Serbia: 2 Alpine Skiing: 2 Turkey: 7 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 3 Short Track: 1 Ski Jumping: 1 Uzbekistan: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1
  19. After one day of accepting and rejecting quotas, these should be the team sizes of some of the smaller winter countries that have accepted their quotas + Hungary. Albania: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Argentina: 6 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 2 Luge: 1 Speed Skating: 1 Armenia: 6 Alpine Skiing: 1 Cross-Country Skiing: 3 Figure Skating: 2 Bosnia and Herzegovina: 5 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 2 Luge: 1 Chile: 4 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Freestyle Skiing: 1 Colombia: 3 Alpine Skiing: 1 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Speed Skating: 1 Cyprus: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Ecuador: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Ghana: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Greece: 5 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 3 Haiti: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Hungary: 14 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 2 Figure Skating: 2 Short Track: 7 Snowboarding: 1 India: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Iran: 3 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Kosovo: 2 Alpine Skiing: 2 Kyrgyzstan: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Lebanon: 3 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Madagascar: 2 Alpine Skiing: 2 Malaysia: 2 Alpine Skiing: 2 Monaco: 3 Alpine Skiing: 1 Bobsleigh: 2 Pakistan: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Philippines: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1 Portugal: 3 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 San Marino: 2 Alpine Skiing: 2 Thailand: 4 Alpine Skiing: 2 Cross-Country Skiing: 2 Timor-Leste: 1 Alpine Skiing: 1
  20. USA also declines both of their women's ski cross quotas. Women's ski cross might not even have 20 athletes at this point . They accepted the rest of their quotas now so they'll be at 32 athletes.
  21. Yes. I believe Israel is currently the first reserve in the two-man event but Netherlands will likely reject their quota because they haven't met their own qualification standards.
