No, we just had one thread for the Paralympics since it didn't get a lot of traction. But for the Olympics, we would always get a lot of discussion in the past so for Beijing, we decided to create a thread for each day to keep things more organized. Each Olympic day thread was around 5-10 pages so that would've averaged out to around 120 pages of comments in total. But I like what you've done with the thread so far so as intoronto mentioned, we could perhaps use this for pre-olympic news and announcements and other stuff.

So for Beijing, we had one thread dedicated for each day of competition, because otherwise, this thread would be crowded really quickly and it would be harder to find comments. Was your plan to have one giant mega thread for the games or did you have something else in mind?
