  1. Yep, this was a better weekend to see what both he and Askew have been showing for a few years already. Both have already made a rookie mistake now, luckily it's their rookie season
  2. I hate Hamilton basically forcing everyone to do what he wants them to do. It is perfectly fine for drivers to say "I am 100% against racism, but in a race weekend I am going to focus on my race and I won't be taking a knee." This does not make them complicit in anything, this makes them people who say they are against racism (which is a good thing, I'm sure we all agree). The whole thing is that one should have the freedom to choose those things, just like Hamilton should absolutely be free to show a protest or support or whatnot. It's not freedom (and also not a genuine show of support) if people are only doing it because Hamilton yells in their ears that they have to do it 'or else'.
  3. "When the flag drops, the bullshit stops", can someone please drop the flag, for crying out loud? https://news.sky.com/story/lewis-hamilton-warns-silence-is-complicit-in-racism-as-formula-one-drivers-split-over-taking-knee-12021486 Perfectly fine for him to do whatever he wants about this, but the same goes for others. Don't go and force others to take some sort of stand when they want to focus on their race. It's fine if they do, it's fine if they don't, but the choice should be theirs, without Hamilton screaming in their ears that they are vile racists if they don't kneel or something. Everyone knows that 22 drivers taking a knee today is just as fake as possible, because they're basically forced into it instead of doing so out of their own will.
  4. And yet they train a ton (physically). There are sports where half the people look more obese than this guy. Let's not act like athletes in athletics, combat sports etc don't damage their bodies a lot every time they compete. Of course you need training. In every kind of competition you need training. I know I wouldn't like to have their training regime for eating and definitely also not their physical training regime which they need and do to stay in a normal physical shape.
  5. Of course it can, but this was already a question before the qualifying. Ferrari hasn't been good since their cheating was discovered and stopped halfway through last year, that didn't change yet apparently. I don't think F1 would miss much with Vettel leaving, so we'll see
  6. What exactly is the world record? I mean, eating 75 hot dogs + buns in .... minutes?
  7. How many damages? It's not like they eat dozens of hotdogs at a time every day Quite often competitive eaters live like athletes. Which is why people are often surprised to find out they often aren't fat...at all. They get a huge amount of calories once every X weeks, but save some calories in between by dieting and training so that overall, they stay fit.
  8. New rules make the gaps bigger, not smaller. Today was another excellent example: the field is getting closer and closer together, even though Mercedes itself is still a bit in front of the rest in qualifying pace.
  9. You mean Ferrari is back to where they're supposed to be after their blatant rule-breaking of last season? This is some good karma hitting them
  10. Damn, yet another young Belgian guy...apparently his heart stopped during sort of a practice race, CPR couldn't save him.
  11. I think it's safe to say we'd be better off just not having any numbers from the likes of Yemen or Sudan.
  12. Weeks later and still no word on this. UCI is doing a rather terrible job in keeping people updated. Weirdly, that mostly goes for BMX, since in MTB they do give some updates every now and then. This list seems rather outdated as well, since Papendal for example has already been cancelled a pretty long time ago. https://www.uci.org/news/2020/covid-19-pandemic-publication-of-lists-of-postponed-or-cancelled-uci-events Also nothing yet on the Houston worlds?
  13. First Formula 3 race of the season, finally it's underway
  14. Plus they had already said they'd protest if Mercedes would use it in a race weekend, so all they did was keep their word. Nothing wrong with protesting it, especially after the whole Ferrari thing of last year.
  15. He's not entirely the only one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oldest_fathers
  16. Another possibility is extending this 'mark forum read' option: To one or even two levels higher, so you can just click "Mark forum read" for example here (or in the summer or winter sports section as a whole): https://totallympics.com/forum/161-results-database/
  17. And as expected, protest against Mercedes' DAS. Meanwhile, 89-year old Bernie Ecclestone has had a baby this week, his first son. Good chance the poor kid won't even ever really know his dad. Ecclestone doesn't seem to care though: "When you're at my age, you're not afraid of death, you're just thankful", he said rather egotistically.
  18. Is there any way to differentiate between discussion and results threads? This is incredibly confusing: "....topic in Non-Olympic Sports", but both Non-Olympic Sports are two different things. I'm simply trying to look for the F1 discussion thread but it's buried..
  19. That was already long gone on day one or two when groups started rampaging through cities instead of protesting But yeah, it hasn't helped.
  20. Dude jerked himself a broken dick and now wants 25 million dollars from Twitch. Right. https://nypost.com/2020/06/25/sex-addict-claims-hot-female-gamers-caused-him-to-injure-penis/
  21. Here's a toast to ruthless dictators!
