  1. Whoever had the idiotic idea to come up with those "I run/jump/throw clean" bibs should be fired immediatly
  2. Maybe this one works outside the Netherlands as well? (I doubt it, but you never know) http://nos.nl/livestream/2115223-ek-atletiek-ochtendsessie.html
  3. I always like championships in these old stadiums
  4. In September 2015: "More medals than in Londen (20). Preferrably in more sports as well. " In May 2016: "We're not going to say an exact number of medals in order not to put unnecessary pressure on the athletes." (yeah...the 'chief de mission' really said that)
  5. Interesting, so Maher is in a team with three guys who could easily be his father
  6. To be fair, 5.70m is also nowhere to be seen on all-athletics.com, which is usually the most comprehensive international database..
  7. Oh come on! In my defense, this time I only asked about it and I clearly wrote "Not to give false hope". Not going to Tonga is something I'd probably survive, but since Austria is quite a major winter sports nation, I'm going to risk my life and go there anyway
  8. Tiny off-topic post, but: Welcome on Totallympics
  9. Enger is impressive as well so far by the way
  10. Wow, another epic sprint Horrible positioning by Cavendish, Greipel was simply empty at 100m to go and wow, Groenewegen even got close after sprinting for a longer time than anyone else
  11. Good last few hundred meters for Sagan today
  12. By the way, imagine the scenario that they had totally missed any word about AUS and CRO rejecting the quota and this is the first time they hear it... I'd definitely tell them it's thanks to Totallympics and redirect them here
  13. If they're anything like Brazilian biathletes, they'd prefer being realistic than saying "we're definitely going for the gold"
  14. Yes. They have like 1% medal chance and need a huge miracle for that, but that's still more than the only other Austrian team.. In my message to them I asked about national standards as well, maybe it has something to do with that.
  15. And Croatia apparently, which I could have read if I looked 2 posts higher Still it's weird that there's absolutely no word about it on their Facebook page for example. Let's wait and see what they answer.
  16. What's the deal with the Austrian 49erFX crew? On Facebook they wrote quite clearly (in April) that they're not going to Rio because the Finnish boat beat them, yet the OP here and the list on Wikipedia says they did qualify.. Edit: What better way to find out than ask them myself, long live Facebook
  17. Tomorrow we're going to Limoges, the city where Sagan really showed himself to the public for the first time
  18. Tom Dumoulin: "Stages like this have no place in Grand Tours anymore. Today we had one guy who was crazy enough to go in the lead for 210km knowing he would be caught...why would you do that? I guess tomorrow there's a good chance nobody will even try to attack. These stages...they make nobody happy, it's boring for everyone." I think Contador disagrees at the moment, but alright
  19. Meh, at the beach you get sand everywhere, I'm not jealous of people who are at the beach
  20. Ah I knew there was another ex-Rabobank rider who had that Logically, because Rabobank and all their successors were/are the ultimate example of having a horrible sprint train. Seriously, Sagan is way better off on his own than any LottoNL-sprinter with their train. At least Groenewegen is somewhat capable of getting a position for himself, Moreno Hofland is the worst example: if another rider says "boo" he will move and give away his place.
  21. Why would he need that? Freire never had a sprint train and still won a decent amount of stages Not everyone needs a sprint train, it's also possible to simply take a place in someone else's train
  22. One of the best sprints in quite a while by the way
  23. Kittel and Groenewegen passed a ton of riders on the sides, but they were way too far behind
