  1. Nice sprint in T-A Gaviria just beat Sagan on the line but the eye catcher was a hilariously bad sprint by Jens Debusschere, who's Lotto Soudal team was heading the way for the major part of the sprint preparation until 150-200m before the finish line. Roelandts 'launched' him perfectly....and he just stopped basically.
  2. I only know Sjinkie Knegt really does not like those Hungarian Liu brothers and wants to beat them more than anyone else It was fun to see Viktor Knoch luck his way through especially Saturday and it was a nice championships overall. Three moves will really stick with me, one of Knegt that pretty much decided the relay final right after NED dropped to 4th with a terrible hand-over, one of Seo Yi-ra in I believe the 1000m final and one of Elise Christie of which I don't have a gif Knegt: Seo: Both of those were just...absolutely beautiful
  3. That's nothing shy of bizarre
  4. Because just like some other countries, our government doesn't want to help spread Erdogan's propaganda. I'm slightly on two thoughts: 1. Like you said, it's maybe not so freedom-like and allowing them to spread Erdogan's message would likely have had a smaller impact 2. There's no need to bend over for Erdogan any longer and this is as good a time as any to finally stop doing that
  5. Dutch police used nucleair bombs against the Turkish protesters Well, according to a pro-Erdogan channel (I'm still hoping it's either photoshopped or just badly translated )
  6. So, wait. Spain has a better chance to qualify 3 athletes when they only have 1 athlete at the WCH instead of 2? And still they decide to send 2? It's almost as if they don't know the rules (or are planning not to send Raya anyway)..
  7. I read something about that flag as well, but not about riots because of that There have been some Turkish people gathering in Amsterdam/The Hague, but there haven't really been any riots or clashes anymore today, so that's good (and boring, but boring's good in this case)
  8. You want to know about what happened last night? There were some protests and a little bit of riots in Rotterdam at the Turkish consulate there because some Turkish minister wasn't allowed to give a public speech supporting Erdogan. Today there's not a whole lot happening
  9. 15th place in Andalucia last month, 14th place in Paris-Nice...21-year old Sam Oomen is giving me good hope for the future of Dutch GC contenders
  10. That commercial with him and Majka is driving me crazy
  11. Sort of Oh well, the decision has pretty much been made to go full force for a quota place in cross-country, so it doesn't matter so much anymore
  12. He could realistically get anything between 1st and 80th so yeah, hard to guess that one
  13. So all quota are pretty much decided except for the fight for 22nd in the women's standings (if nothing weird happens)? That's gonna be a very close one though..
  14. Laura gets told by the German reporter that she has actually won the overall World Cup, as she wasn't doing the maths and just focussed on performing well, she didn't know it yet After the "whooo!!" there's some more questions like "But is it 100% sure now? Are you certain?"
  15. When you see 21-year old athletes winning their 4th crystal globe (and a 5th being on the way) after already winning 3 world titles and an Olympic gold, you really start to wonder where on earth did your life go wrong?
  16. Pretty sure these protests are good for both Wilders and the Turkish party in the Netherlands Oh well, I'm not watching any debate or something anymore, all those last days consists of is scream as loud as possible and people like Wilders are the best in screaming their nonsense
  17. Amazing job! Laura takes the overall globe And Vittozzi takes her first ever podium, great results
  18. Fialkova with the race of her life
  19. Fantastic job by Paulina Fialkova so far, 37th to 9th.
  20. 50km classic at the legendary Holmenkollen today
  21. That one thing is coming back a million times
  22. What a weird run from Moelgg At least 10 times it looked like she was either going to fall or she was going very slow but she was actually pretty fast
  23. Wow, that was heroic by Goggia
