  1. That part where Hamilton loses the race because he can't get past Verstappen "Lewis, this is race critical, we need to get past Verstappen." "How do you expect me to do that??" followed by "There's no way I can get past that guy" one lap later
  2. I never thought I would hope for Vettel to win during a race, but seeing him seriously challenge Hamilton and finally coming a bit of an end to the Mercedes dominance....I cheered for him And Alonso had another fantastic race, maybe one of the best of his career. Going for a point in that car with that crappy GP3 engine is amazing, too bad he didn't make it but the good thing is that at least the engine held out for far longer than anyone expected.
  3. He may be an annoying complaining prick, but this was a phenomenal race from Vettel Especially when you see the Ferrari was not even that good, judging by Kimi's performance, and still he beat Hamilton on class
  4. Oh and 6th place for Grosjean, by far the most impressive result of the qualifying
  5. Giovinazzi is much cooler than old Ferrari Also a very serious talent, he was often way more impressive than Gasly in GP2 last season and often made for a very entertaining race, so I think everyone who is actually fan of the sport would like to see Giovinazzi stay in F1 Not gonna happen this season of course, Wehrlein will probably be back next race or else the race after that. It'd be cool if Kimi can have a nice race, but I hope baby Vettel will get something to cry about as usual
  6. Louis van Gaal left, Danny Blind is not much of a coach for this kind of team We need someone who can keep all those egos in check. Van Gaal could, Blind can't.
  7. I have no idea, but every Dutch team is an experimental team
  8. They were angry about the petition
  9. Money on the Dutch team? Why on earth would you do that? I saw odds were 1.4-1.5 or something, that should be the odds if we had played at home...here I would have thought it was more like 50/50
  10. The Dutch team is playing like the local amateur "let's drink some beer and then play some football" team in my little town
  11. They're not far away enough
  12. Because it's the other side of the world obviously.
  13. I remember I had it on VHS tape when I was a kid and I loved it more than any cartoon ever Maybe my love for sports was born there
  14. "And last but not least, the walk, one of the most graceful of all"
  15. He had an injury after his participation in the Olympics
  16. Yes! But they all just don't get it
  17. My opinion is also always the truth Weirdly friends and family doesn't always agree with that, but they're just wrong.
  18. Too bad you sort of need to understand German to get it, but the big news here is that apparently the German species is evolving into a being with a sense of humour
  19. I heard Saddam Hussein and Donald Trump both went to a secret society on Mars, led by Putin, Mao Zedong and Merkel who fought for indepencende from the evil Disney monsters from Jupiter.
  20. I don't think one can say that someone else is 'not a real XXX' (where XXX can be anything, Muslim, Italian, sports fan, whatever). If a far-right extremist gains power in the Netherlands and makes Wilders look like a leftist softie by kicking out everyone with a non-white skin and executing everyone with a different religion, I might say that person is 'not a real Dutch person', but if he actually believes that his actions - insane as they are - are to the benefit of the Netherlands, who am I to say that he is not 'a real Dutch person'?
  21. Could barely have woken up to better news this morning
  22. No Wehrlein in Melbourne. That means with Giovinazzi we'll have an Italian in F1 for the first time since Jarno Trulli in 2011
  23. Nope, that's not what I meant Human nature is, unfortunately, pretty violent.
  24. Not entirely me to be honest, the Olympic 'subforum' is always very busy on that forum, especially for sports that are both easy to follow (you make a lift or you don't) and are streamed live on the public broadcaster's website
  25. There's a 15-year old Dutch guy and he's even in the top half of the entry weights Apparently he also broke a CJ European U15 record last December, we might actually have somewhat of a talent here...which would be awesome, because weightlifting was immensely popular on the biggest Dutch forum during the Olympics
