  1. Yeah, that friendship needs some talking
  2. That's very unfortunate. But offside is offside
  3. Right, referee Oliver can go home after tonight.
  4. So the "you can't stop during a penalty run-up" rule has once again been ignored
  5. Coach Hjulmand with his second yellow of the tournament Dumbo.
  6. By now I saw it's due to an injury, so she had to withdraw from the final
  7. Weather police? They just stopped until the danger had passed, not until the rain is gone. Getting back on the field already, entirely as expected.
  8. To be fair, if it was just this rain - strong as it was - the match would probably not have been suspended The lightning was the issue, if that had gone wrong on the field, it was entirely on the referee, because he should have stopped it way earlier given the explosions that were going around already.
  9. I believe the rain is not exactly missing the stadium.
  10. Oh come on, everyone on that team is at the very least a good player. Nobody in that team is an objectively bad football player, let's be realistic.
  11. Utterly idiotic referee, playing with the lives of players just for....his own glory or what? Players should have long ago agreed to just leave the field.
  12. Agreed, but I also love Bardet getting the yellow for the first time on his career, in his last Tour! Always an attractive rider, lots of attacks and stuff.
  13. 2-0 seconds after halftime
  14. Thanks! I'll turn on a Canadian VPN and see what they have available
  15. And then Healy attacked. Peloton isn't looking great anymore, but still 30k to go.
  16. Which channels in USA or Canada are showing this? I'm looking for normal highlight videos, but on YouTube all I can find are those obscure channels that put the score in the thumbnail and then have some low quality highlights where even the graphics with the time and scores are cut, like this:
  17. Just made a quick look through the results, looks like these are the biggest names missing out on Paris, I think? Boulder/lead: Mejdi Schalck, Yoshiyuki Ogata, Chon Jong-won, Ayala Kerem, Stasa Gejo, Annie Sanders, Alex Megos, Taisei Homma, Shion Omata, Satone Yoshida, Vita Lukan, Kim Ja-in Speed: Long Jianguo, Wang Xinshang, Natalia Kalucka, Nurul Iqamah
  18. They forgot to mention Oriane Bertone, winner of the European qualifier?
  19. That's not for us to decide though. He was punished according to law, I'm not a big fan of the often-heard 'but then the law is too soft!' argument whenever someone's opinion is different than the actual law. The judge has zero right to make a call about whether or not he is eligible to play (despite the judge originally seeming to think the opposite). He qualified, and so he is eligible to play. And no, there is no reason to seriously think he is going to attack some random minors in the Olympic village, that is a ludicrous insinuation by the CNN lady.
  20. That he was rightfully punished for what he did, obviously, nobody here is disagreeing on that. However, that one lady in the CNN article makes it sound like he is an actual danger in the Olympic village because of the presence of minors there, for which there just is no indication. And the Reddit comments are even worse (but yeah, Reddit), with nonsense like "it is disgusting to see how the Dutch volleyball community and everyone around him just accepted him back as if nothing happened". Which, no, they didn't, not at all. Nobody just accepted him back as if nothing happened, that was definitely a process of years, presumably even for his closest friends and family.
  21. CNN loves these stories, they can play nicely on the angry feelings of Americans. As evidenced by the nonsense Reddit comments on this subject as well.
  22. The winner somehow still had a bit of a sprint in his legs, no idea how that's possible And it was divided in 5 climbs, but in reality it's just one long monster. To think you really, really start to feel the altitude at 2000 meters and in this stage that meant you weren't even halfway yet
