  1. Told you Robin Haase could have made it...I mean, if Edmund or even Sandgren of all places makes it, come on
  2. I could maybe name 5-6 players who are missing out on the Olympics because of the fight with NHL/IOC...in other words: I'm mostly clueless anyway, so for me it doesn't make much of a difference, so I'll watch it just the same
  3. Oh well, it's nothing important of course, just a little note I mean, in the end we all make mistakes
  4. Do you know it's actually 'with' instead of 'whit'? Just curious because I always see you write whit and now I had to ask
  5. I hope she's fit enough to give Näslund a good run for her money. Nothing against Näslund, but I do want to see a fight
  6. So far Sergeeva is not banned from Pyeongchang, right?
  7. For fuck's sake, that's where it's becoming so horribly stupid that the qualifying document says "Unapplicable" under the reallocation of unused quota. What will happen with those two quota I wonder..
  8. Young Denis Spitsov, double bronze at last year's U23 worlds who had some very impressive showings in his World Cup debut season (the current season). Evgeniy Belov, but he was in Sochi 2014 and got disqualified there, so just like the likes of Legkov that's no surprise. Apart from Spitsov, the current big names are all there.
  9. Damn it, we lost to Latvia. 33 athletes for the Netherlands. https://www.ad.nl/olympische-spelen/deze-33-nederlanders-gaan-op-medaillejacht-in-pyeongchang~af4f7e05/ Ploegenachtervolging = team pursuit and I suppose the rest speaks for itself.
  10. When is the deadline for registering athletes?
  11. I still understand it depends on the sport and nation. The Netherlands declining a skeleton quota would be rather bad, since the athlete is actually a potential medal outsider (or at least top-6), whereas declining alpine skiing quotas is more logical in the Dutch case, since I highly doubt it would work as a motivating factor for our youth when a slalom skier comes in 36th or something. They don't have unlimited money, so choices have to be made. I do think the criteria are too strict sometimes, but I do understand they exist.
  12. Any idea when the ski cross team will be named?
  13. Yeah that was not even a question or something

  15. Because plenty of major countries don't want to send athletes without realistic chances of finishing at least in decent positions (I would perfectly understand Norway, Germany, USA etc not sending an alpine skier who never really came close to the top-20 for example). It's different for smaller countries.
  16. I thought France already had like 78 ski cross spots in both men's and women's competitions
  17. Victor Santos will represent Brazil in the men's cross-country It was already more or less certain, but after Leandro Lutz' last-ditch attempt in Turkey didn't work out, it was confirmed. They celebrated with a good pizza dinner in Livigno (ITA) yesterday, and rightly so, going from the favelas to the Olympics in 3-4 years is a performance to be incredibly proud of
  18. This kind of tennis and then you end the day with, with all due respect, Strycova - Pliskova...bit of an anti-climax
  19. This is just fan-tas-tic
  20. What a match by Chung so far
