  1. This is such a disappointing final. Ton of good jumps, but each and everyone with a shitty landing.
  2. Team GB beats Team USA by 0,19 seconds
  3. I can not wait for Feierabend against Hozmann, who only lost 34 seconds in two slalom runs
  4. Curious if my bracket will come true (never mind the numbers)
  5. Well it's not about the Netherlands at all, it's about this athlete Winning 0 or 8 speed skating gold medals makes this exactly no different at all
  6. Well, that's Dekker losing out by the tiniest of margins.
  7. Come on, one more behind Dekker please, or else she'll miss out on 0,01...
  8. Yes, it would be great redemption if Cologna can finally have some Olympic success!
  9. Thanks. So, that's it for Riegler...
  10. A fall in run one of qualifying already means you're out basically, right?
  11. Plus, instant fan of Spitsov for just trying to attack Klaebo in the closing stages of the relay, knowing he basically had no chance (because who would have a chance there against Klaebo? Nobody, I guess), but he simply went for it and gave it a try anyway
  12. Actually I meant classic specifically, nothing against 4 years ago, but because I love the 50km classic more than any XC event (I also love things like the 50km classic at the Holmenkollen, or the Vasaloppet )
  13. The event to crown the King of Kings
  14. Honestly, this Russian team is very promising. The likes of Bolshunov, Spitsov, Nepryaeva and Belorukova have been improving very much in recent times, all of them having shown great promise in the World Cup already this season (and it was simply impossible to miss Belorukova last season, when she had some sprints where she went on a full-on attack ). I know there's a whole lot of discussion about the Russians, but no matter what, these young athletes deserve a ton of respect for having some great showings despite all of this pressure and chaos (Spitsov and Bolshunov especially, although for Bolshunov that was a bit expected) One big compliment to that team and especially their coaches for keeping their heads cool.
  15. Oh, the Dutch are in, obviously But the Olympics is going on, I have seen this thread in the active threads but sort of ignored it because it wasn't about the Olympics
  16. Cool A quick search show's she's a 21 year old who's focus is the Tokyo Olympics, and for that she's living and training in Papendal (near more famous Arnhem), where sort of our national sports center is. It says she shot in the German competition in 2014 and 2015, got a 17th place at a World Cup in 2016 and she has a two year older sister as well http://teamsmeets.nl/over-ons/
  17. Wonderful! I mean, this event is already way too long, it should be maybe 4 laps, and the fields are way too big! Four laps with five or six athletes would make it even more urban!

  19. Yeah, having to predict everything before the start of the Olympics, even stuff that only happens two weeks later, is kind of strange, but alright. I can imagine it's impossible for anyone to organize it otherwise. Sort of like the Tour de France contest, where you had to predict every stage before the first stage I mean, I love cycling contests, but in that way it's just better to not have it at all.
  20. Retests of the Soviet and Czechoslovak urine samples done this week
  21. On what basis would IOC have any control over private organisations like that? What kind of legal aspect would exist that would make them obligated to listen to what the IOC says?
  22. Russia wins by 3, Germany wins by 1, come on @Wanderer, update those standings
  23. When their name was 'Soviet Union'?
  24. Overperforming to the max!
