  4. It did start well though. For 5 minutes or so and then it went downhill very fast. It's going to be a long tournament for us...
  11. And over Lou to finish. She must be 100% fit.
  12. There may be some fresher datas somewhere, but for London 2012 it generates ~25% of the tickets revenues.
  13. Cutting 'old' sports' and disciplines is nothing new. Its been 20 years since wrestling was supposed to be cut from the program and it's still there. Even boxing is still around despite its myriad of issues. Cutting sports is a shit lot more difficult than the oppposite. I wish her good luck, historically, all IOC presidents so far have a terrible record when it comes to cutting stuff.
  14. Found on reddit (AI favorites ranking for every events based on world cup rankings and world championships results) https://winter-olympics-2026.vercel.app/
  15. Basically, that. I'd be a bit more hopeful on alpine skiing (1-2) . Noël + Rassat make for a very, very good chance in men's slalom by itself and all the other outsiders + the men's team make for a solid second shot IMO. Also, Laffont has been back this week-end and it seems she was doing good. I had a go before reading your post, and it was almost exactly the same for the other disciplines: Alpine : 1-2 Biathlon : 6-10 (yes, exactly the same range) Nordic : 0-1 Snowboarding : 2 Freestyle : 1-2 (including a fit Laffont) Ski Mountaineering : 2-3 Speed Skating ; 0-1 Figure skating : 1 Total : 13-22 (let's say 17-18)
  16. First podium, 24 hours after was awarded a surprised extra ticket for the Olympics. Quite the timing
  17. Stats are ok, but the time she losts on the range every time... My point was that she is more likely to make us losing the olympic relay than to make us winning it.
  18. She read me. "I'm shure" like our president said.
  19. It's never going to happen, but there is a strong argument that JBB should be left out of the relay for the Olympics.
  20. People with better memories than me can answer. Every olympic season, we have some top athletes skipping some races prior to the Olympics. Does it usualy work (working as in better results that one could have expected otherwise) ?
  21. A nice cross topic between genius and fail
  22. 43,500 spectators during the tournament. A fantastic success according to everybody, And yet, it seems WTT wants to move it to Paris
  23. Yes, and yes. It is really that simple. Edit: just to add something, forums generally might be more male oriented than female in comparison with social medias due to anonymity. And also speaking of my demographics, due to earlier internet adoption and exposition to the web of the early 00's male users might be more familiar with forums than social medias. But even if it is. It's marginal. I used to run a twitter account that went deep in some sports-related subjects (history, datas, economics). 99% of my interactions were with males.
  24. From a foreign point of view, it does feel a bit weird there is no italian WT team tbh... I remembrer when Lampre was gone reading some apocalyptic stuff about the certain death of italian cycling. If anything that didn't happen.
