  1. I have enough of all this political sh*t. The IOC (probably thorugh the AC) should go to UN with some resolution that athletes going to competition get an visa-free entrance to the country for the competition period.
  2. Oh, so there is something new this time. I think it's better, because the old way the coaches could have chosen the rivals for their athletes.
  3. Egypt for sure, probably also RSA (Oosthuizen, Burger) and some totally unknown individuals (four years ago there was someone from Kenya, Burkina Faso, Mauritius and Madagascar). But let's be honest - Egypt will get both quotas for sure. The question is if they will use it after possible qualification from World Ranking and the second nation (RSA probably) will get the quota reallocation.
  4. Something like that should be recorded by every IF. But maybe we'll do it - do you know better experts in qualification systems than Totallympians?

  6. After very poor start I finished just one point behind top 10 which is good for me as I don't watch much alpine skiing nowadays and my predictions were based on big names of Shiffrin and Hirscher in technical events, old man Svindal and another retiring athlete Vonn. Congrats to medalists!
  7. The silver of Mixed Relay in short track is the 30th medal of at Winter EYOFs.
  8. As far as I understood there is a possibility to discontinue WEG, but if there will be someone interested to host all disciplines, then it will remain.

  10. First stage is coming up. Cairo, so the home country of Junior Athlete of the Year 2018 Ahmed El Gendy - winner of everything in 2018 (Junior and Youth World Champion, double Youth Olympic Champion) and also winner of this year's opening in Budapest. I read that Hungary is going to send their top girls including Földházi and Kovács who both didn't participate in Budapest Indoor. Poland doesn't send their Olympians - Nowacka had a long break and it's a problem with horse riding (she started in tetrathlon only in Polish Open Cup), Maliszewska has a minor foot injury, Staśkiewicz also had some problems with arm, but seems to be OK now. Also Stasiak has some bigger injury of knee, and Gutkowski also suffered something and didn't start in Polish Open Cup. We send Kobecka and Dominiak for women's event and Ławrynowicz, Świderski and our Youth Olympic medallist Kasperczak (debut in senior international competition outside Poland). For mixed event Kobecka and Ławrynowicz.
  11. Still no dates not only for qualification itself, but even the draw for qualification to Europeans in Budapest in 2020. As the tournament will be in January (due to Olympics of course) they need to take three rounds by... October? Which means two things - or very tight calendar for weaker teams starting from round 1 or, what is more possible, only two rounds of qualification with probably less entries than before Barcelona.
  12. We paid $500K for men's tournament, but for women's, which we got because nobody wanted to host it, we paid less, but Przedpełski (former president of Polish federation, important person in FIVB) doesn't want to say how much.

  17. I'll tell you more. Until me and my colleagues realised, how useful Messenger is, we used only Facebook group. Now there are only summaries of Messenger discussions. Another thing - I wanted to recruit someone to my website to help me with equestrian news - no equestrian forum had recent posts, only some with one-two per day. I used to know some forums, now there I use only two - Totallympics and our Polish Olympics-orientated forum.
