  1. @Olympian1010 Before this discussion goes further, you need to know this sentence - "the true Pole is a Catholic without all that Christian bullshit". It has nothing to do with being a "true Pole", but those who reserve for themselves such a namimg act exactly this way. In fact I do not know, why wasn't a Polish Catholic Church separated from the Roman Church - its bishops and many believers have few common with a lessons of love given by Jesus Christ.
  2. Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all or if he moves will he fall? Is he alive or dead? Has he thoughts within his head? We'll just pass him there. Why should we even care? @Sindo I propose changing his nickname from @bestmen ot Iron Man
  3. Turkey will debut in the division A, while Poland... still waiting for a women in the elite. That team won the internal qualifications so there is no doubt they deserved to go there, but a week before the Champs they lost 1:6 (or something like that) to a team with three athletes playing for only one year (though they're lucky to have an opportunity training a few times a week in the only curling hall in the country and the fourth is the most titled Polish curler).
  4. And a rapid fire... or is it just start with quotas to be distributed tomorrow (at least that's what I noted out of SIUS yesterday).
  5. Where do we go, where do we go,
  6. Hey, is anyone going for some event this year (for @brunamoura it's a rethorical question ). I was thinking about going for a weekend to IBU Cup in Duszniki.
  7. I'm surprised Hungarians don't use the left side, because they have everything the other way - they turn on the light with klicking the switcher up (although in Poland it also happens), they have surname before first name, their date format is yyyy/mm/dd (still better than the abnormal US mm/dd/yyyy)... even the ancient writing - "rovásírás" - is read from right to left.
  8. Could you please remind me and @Olympian1010 why aren't you an author at Totallympics Media? Such a text would fit it perfectly.
  9. Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
  10. With so many Polish users on this forum - you're playing with fire, mate. Check the name Andrzej Rżany, maybe there is his story from Athens 2004 quarterfinals in English, I couldn't find any.
  11. I think you wanted to post this link: https://games24.totallympics.com/?p=1103
  12. I wish we were such a possibility some day... but if you leave us now...
  13. So we know something more now: https://games24.totallympics.com/?p=1103
  14. What's the difference, when you have 10 lights above, turning red or green if the target is missed or met?
  15. If it's about changing the proportion of times - why not introduce 10 target to shoot instead of five? That would also give more chances for a miss. And not exactly in the shape of 10 circles, but one circle to meet 10 times. That would create an opportunity to have place for more than 30 athletes - maybe that would increase the number of starters in the mass start races? And what about the rifle failure? It's the same. That's what we talk about with @Grassmarket
  16. 50 secs. And you might be surprised, but also nowadays technical failures happen - Berlin 2015 Worlds, where the technical problems lead to the postponing the men's relay's laser-run (then yet under the name "combined event") and building a very provisional "roofing" above targets (I remember talks between athletes sharing their experience about the new pistols that were introduced that year), Olympic trial in Rio in the torrential rain thanks to which Claudia Cesarini surprisingly won or even this year's Gubaydullina's target failing at the World Championships in the women's individual final.
  17. I think it's the matter of software - in pentathlon you don't fire five times, you fire until you shoot the target five times (or until 500 secs pass by). I don't know, how it can work in biathlon, maybe it will change, so not until five shots fired but until five meeting the target - then you have an extra "bullets" not only in relay. But it can be also five fired and then you go further and additional "bullets" in the relay - then the software should be also in the rifle, not only in target - a little bit challenge for a producers.
  18. Well, I'm the generation which doesn't know other pentathlon than the one with laser and this sound is quite characteristic (at least for me). About reloading manually - it is reloaded manually. In pentathlon you need to lower your shooting arm before doing that. In rifle it's a button-like... something you push with your thumb. At least in the version I used (it also had quite an easy aiming system). It all can be reconstructed for biathlon purposes, if needed.
  19. No problem with lead - use laser shooting instead. I already shot with such a device (both - pistol, used in pentathlon, and rifle, on another occasion) - it's really simple, safe and probably cheaper (at least for the athletes, maybe not from the organizer's point of view).
