  1. This loss also marked the end for 3 of the major Swedish profiles during many years, as Kim Källström, Andreas Isaksson and of course Zlatan Ibrahimovic ended their national team careers with the end of the tournament. It was also the last match for coach Erik Hamren.
  2. Too bad that it ends here. The way the swedish team played today (well, technically it was yesterday) deserved at least one point and had they played like it against Ireland, I feel confident it would have been enough to win. But on the other hand. Berg should never miss a chance like he was given. Had that been a goal or had the ref not taken away Zlatan's goal (I would say it was wrong, but it's not an easy call), it would have been a completely different match. Congratulations for Ireland. I wish it was Sweden against an Italian b-team, but no. The Irish team took the chance, and it's lovely to know that the great Irish fans will have another match to cheer for their team. Now I'll be crossing my fingers for Iceland. They do afterall have some Swedish in the succes!
  3. Rory McIlroy has joined the list of players withdrawing because of zika.
  4. Yeah. Blaming the ref seems like just the right thing... No doubt there should have been another penalty, but it shouldn't have been there in the first place. And I think it's a sad thing if you judge the final by the name of the country. Croatia has played some very good football and I would surely prefer them in the final than England!
  5. The meteorological summer begins the 1st of june
  6. I thought summer started on june 1st!
  7. According to our federation, the first round was pretty close and could be given to the algerian, while the 2nd should have been danish (3rd one was given to Denmark)
  8. Given by the refs according to our federation,
  9. Our national federation is pretty mad at the referees...
  10. Denmark is bidding for the Tour de France Grand depart in 2019, 2020 or 2021 and has made a fine video which can be found here (the video in the top is in danish, but it can be found in french and english as well): http://sport.tv2.dk/cykling/2016-06-20-se-det-danske-tour-de-france-bud-joergen-leth-poesi-paa-tre-forskellige-sprog
  11. All that foreigners? 3 players in the french national team were born outside France. Of those, only Evra plays (and he grew up in France)
  12. I heard about that breakdown. And I am terribly sorry that I missed Denmark's match!
  13. Well. I'm back after 3 days on Northside Festival. What have I missed?
  14. France is thereby the first team securing a place in the elimination rounds.
  15. I'm impressed! But then again, I remember this:
  16. Reports are that the atmosphere in Lille is very tense and police has used tear gas. Apparently the police is working on keeping englishmen and russians away from eachother.
  17. No. France and Greece both lost their first 2 as well Why were you quoting my reply? It was back in 1996 and 2000
