  1. Well. Out of 35 countries to debut at the European Championships, only 6 has lost their first 2 matches. Last time it happened was in 1996 where both Russia and Turkey did so (Turkey ended up losin their first 4 European Championships matches). Only Turkey and Denmark lost their first 3 matches.
  2. Oh. Just saw that Nani's goal was no. 600 at the European Championships. Puts him on the list with the following legends: 100: Alain Giresse (1984) 200: Kim Vilfort (1992) () 300: Zlatko Zahovic (2000) 400: Thierry Henry (2004) 500: Xavi (2008)
  3. I wonder... How many times has 10 % of a countries population gone to another country at once during a sporting event? (That's about the amount of people from Iceland in France)
  4. Would love to see him live again, but I have spent my money on other concerts this year (looking forward to Paul McCartney on the 27th
  5. The problem is that it's hard to penalize the country for what some fools do in the streets. It's something else when it's done in the stadium. And yes, many others have done bad things (not irish supporters though (I believe you're talking about the Northern Irish)), but unlike Russia, it has at once been condemned. In Russia there are politicians talking about the hooligans defending Russia's honour (including a member of the executive board of the Russian football association). It's not us destroying their reputition, they do themselves, when they apparently think hooligans are a part of the game! And no, the players have nothing to do with them, and it would without doubt be sad if they were not to keep on playing because of some fools, but sadly something has to be done.
  6. Dario Srna will be returning to the croatian team. Good news!
  7. Loving statistics, I find it perfectly fine with more info
  8. I'm beginning to wonder how many championships you have followed throughout the time, since you're feeling you can already say that they are eliminated.
  9. 1: Retiring in the middle of a tournament would be a crazy idea and though Zlatan is a bit of a special person, I'm a 100 % sure that he will not do so. 2: Zlatan has the chance of being the first player to score in 4 Euro's (so could C. Ronaldo). If he scores 2 he can't be equalized. He could even end up as the top goalscorer of the history (though I doubt that will happen). Zlatan is the kind of person who wants to break records and make his status as legend even clearer, an will surely not give up on these. 3: As others say. Be careful with the other 2 teams. Sure, they are both favourites against Sweden, especially with Belgium mentioned as a medal contender, but they are not unbeatable, especially when you have Zlatan on your team. We have seen bigger surprises than it would be! 4: A draw could even be enough for qualifying (I doubt it will be, but it could be)
  10. Well, he did more or less take Sweden through the playoffs alone. Also he was afterall key in the equalizer Besides I do believe he will stop in the national team after the championships.
  11. And thereby own goal is tied for 1st place on the topscorers list!
  12. I guess that goal was needed for Sweden to start playing football...
  13. That's true, and sadly at this threat level, it seems like the right decision. But it seems like fans are allowed to get in now.
  14. An unknown package has been at Stade de France. I'm not much worried about it, but could mean something when it comes to the game.
  15. That's how real fans behave after a beer or 3 I'm really looking forward to this match with 2 fan groups who are usually great at major championships! Sadly Sweden may very well not be as many as hoped because of swedish SAS pilots striking
