  1. I have to leave, so this will be my last pick today: Tarta Pascualina and László Nagyl. I can give my turn to @NikolaBif he wants.
  2. 4th ATP title for Carlos Alcaraz this week, beating bronze medallist in Tokyo Pablo Carreño in the final.
  3. Silver medal for Spain! won the final 12-11 in a very good game of both teams.
  4. Mistakes, intentionally or unintentionally, happen all the time in football, but FIFA will not change its mind and repeat the game. Just remember France against Ireland in 2010 or South Korea against Italy and Spain in 2002... I have not seen this game, so I can't give you my opinion about the referee, but It's better just to acept the result and move forward. You have a good team and with the extra quotas for 2026 you are almost certain to qualify.
  5. It is quite annoying (and funny at the same time tbh) to see the same topic over and over again. Algeria will not go to the World Cup and it doesn't matter how much you want to cry about it. Cameron won. Get over it.
  6. Today we were 5 down against Hungary but Spain managed to equalize and eventually win on penalties. Tomorrow we have the final against the Netherlands. This is quite impresive considering that we are missing 2 key players (Roser Tarragó and Maica García).
  7. Judith Forca and Elena Ruiz are enough to beat Greece 13-9 with a lot of new players in the team. Spain qualifies to the semifinals of the World League against Hungary.
  8. I just sent my votes! I knew my top3 from the 1st listening, but I had doubts about the order until the last minute, so maybe I will have regrets during the Final
  9. Finally I had time to listen to all the songs. I will try to do one more during the week before sending my votes.
  10. ESPAÑA Tanxugueiras - Terra My pick for this year is "Terra", a song that took the 3rd place in Benidorm Fest, our National Final for Eurovision. This is going to be the first time that Spain will be represented in TISC by a song in a co-official language, in this case Galician (although the song also includes a sentence in Basque, Catalan and Castilian/Spanish).
  11. Alejandro Blanco didn't say anything about the favorite bid of IOC, but some Spanish journalists suggested Egypt, India or Germany as the potential favorites of Thomas Bach.
  12. Madrid will not bid. Apparently IOC has said to the Spanish NOC president that they have other preferences for 2036 and it is not worth bidding. Spain will keep the bid for the 2030 WOG, though.
  13. The city of Barcelona is not supporting the Games. The only ones supporting the bid right now are the Spanish NOC and the Pyrenees small towns, so it is quite difficult to take off given the circumstances. At this point the bid is just a political weapon to be used as leverage between political parties in Catalonia and Aragon. And Madrid is preparing to bid for 2036...
  14. Congratulations @Hipooo! I'm very happy for you and I'm looking forward to see what you prepare for the next year. As I said when I was giving the points, big thanks to @Dnlfor hosting this edition. Personally, after 2 very bad editions, I am very happy to tie my personal record again with this 6th place, but this time beating my previous point record (118 from my 1st participation in Open 2019), which is even better. Big thanks to all the juries from 19 countries who have given points to "La Oreja de Van Gogh": @kungshamra71(2nd time in 5 editions that I got a gold medal. I'm glad that the song brought you memories! I liked the Portuguese song too and in fact i added it to my main playlist ) @Hipooo @catgamer @Damian(I think that your song deserved better. I regret not giving it a few points) @Belle @IoNuTzZ @Ionoutz24 @NikolaB(Serbia is the only country giving Spain at least 1 point for the last 5 editions, so thanks for that ) @Griff88 @Gianlu33@Henry_Leon @Pablita @SteveParker (I don't know who voted for my song this time, but thank you all. I'm really glad you picked Franco Battiato this year, he was relatively popular in Spain and I felt sorry when I heard he died). @hckošice @dophuquy @Vic Liu @Federer91 @Benolympique @Bohemia @EupenM @Laraja @LuizGuilherme@titicow (I don't know who voted for my song this time, but thank you all) @Glen @heywoodu @intoronto It was also the first time (at leats since I'm participating) that Canada, Czech Republic, Sweden, Colombia, Vietnam and Romania gave points to Spain. This means that Greece, Hungary and the US are the only countries who have never awarded us a single point.
