  1. I'm ready to bet on the fact that this won't be the trio on the podium in Tokyo...
  2. it's not strange at all...since, as usual, no Italian TV is going to broadcast this event... meanwhile rai and usigrai are totally committed to complain because of the soccer TV rights new format established by our lega calcio...
  3. finally, some good results for Italy in this season's K1PL... Sara Cardin (Women's Kumite, -55kg) and Viviana Bottaro (Women's Kata) made it through to the final (and a couple more fighters had access to the Bronze medal bout)... it's quite an important result for us, especially Bottaro's win over the (almost) unbeatable Spaniard Sandra Sanchez Jaime in the Kata semifinals...let's see if next Sunday they can complete the effort and win Gold...it would be really encouraging in perspective, since the Olympic Ranking tournaments will start really soon...
  4. Full Rankings (and Results): Women's Team Epee http://www.engarde-service.com/files/fie_fencing/championnat_afrique_tunis/epee_women_team/index.php?page=clasfinal.htm Women's Team Sabre http://www.engarde-service.com/files/fie_fencing/championnat_afrique_tunis/saber_women_team/index.php?page=clasfinal.htm Men's Team Foil http://www.engarde-service.com/files/fie_fencing/championnat_afrique_tunis/foil_men_team/index.php?page=clasfinal.htm
  5. Clay Target World Cup, Stage #5 (Siggiewi, MLT) Women's Skeet Gold: Amber Hill Silver: Amber English Bronze: Zhang Donglian
  6. and finally, mong the women, Diana Bacosi, thanks to a couple of decent (23/25) final rounds, saved the honor of Italy and will take part into the final 6 of the Women's Skeet competition... the qualified shooters are: Amber Hill (GBR), Caitlin O'Connor (USA), Amber English (USA), Zhang Dongliang (CHN), Diana Bacosi (ITA) and, just to make our friend @hckosice happy Veronika Sykorova (SVK)... I remember once again, the final is scheduled for 6 p.m. CET later today...
  7. wow! this is a world premiere! It's the first time ever I see the qualification rounds of a shooting event shown on tv (or online)... not even at the Olympic Games they've ever been broadcasted... chapeau! to Maltese TV for this wonderful effort... and now ISSF and IOC have no more excuses...they MUST show us also the elimination rounds of the shooting events in Tokyo...
  8. today at 6 p.m. CET the first final of this WC stage, the Women's Skeet... live Streaming, as always, on the ISSF website... unfortunately, after a disaster in day #1, the Italian shooters won't be part of this final (only Bacosi has still a really marginal shot at making the top 6, but it's very unlikely...Cainero and Spada are definitely already out of contention after the 4th series of 5 in the preliminaries)...
  9. on the other side, last night game #4 of the Calder Cup finals was also played... and the Texas Stars won 3-2 at home against the Toronto Marlies, taking the series to a 2-2 tie... game #5 is scheduled for Saturday night (8 p.m. ET, 2 a.m. CET), always in Cedar Park, TX, home of the Stars...
  10. justice is done! finally, the greatest player ever without the cup...is no longer "without"... another brave effort from the Vegas Golden Knight last night in game #5 couldn't stop destiny...and another great game by Ovi and his Caps finally gave them the greatest success of their career... as I always said, I'm very, very happy of this Caps win... but hopefully, next year I want my Kings back on top of the league...
  11. not at all... it's only what those idiots of NADO Italia asked for them (despite not having a single element of proof)...even the audition in front of the sports authorities has taken place yet... and this just shows how they are not a reliable institution, but only a political weapon in the hands of someone playing their game to cover Italy and Italian sport with mud... I remember everybody reading this thread that a trial court already sentenced that Magnini does not have anything to cope with facts and people involved in it... and in my own world, if a real, serious Court states that someone is NOT guilty of anything, it won't be a bunch of idiots seeking for fame or whatever they seek to have any authority nor credibility to change the truth (which is NOT what they say)...
  12. Rossella Fiamingo (Women's Epee), Sofia Ciaraglia (Women's Sabre) and Francesco Ingargiola (Men's Foil) are the Italian Champions 2018 in their respective disciplines... http://www.federscherma.it/homepage/media/news/14-news/top-news/29346-campionati-italiani-sorgenia-milano2018-si-alza-il-sipario-al-mi-co-oggi-in-palio-i-primi-tre-titoli-tricolori.html

  20. what a farce! women's boxing now can really say that they're "at the same level of men's"... yeah...in terms of corruption, for sure... one more time...let's get rid of this sh*t as quick as possible...
  21. Nice story (actually, a great story) surrounding the NHL world... NHL referee qualifies to play in U.S. Open golf championship... https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-referee-qualifies-to-play-in-us-open-golf-championship/c-298951682
  22. @Dunadan already answered to that... probably it is...I just did Copy & paste that sentence from EUBC's website... p.s. by the way, the +81kg class has only 6 starters, which means that the first 2 seeded fighters (Sennur Demir, TUR & Kristina Tkacheva, RUS) are already through to the semifinals and have a guaranteed medal before the competition actually starts...
  23. The most important thing about this tournament (because it's the first step towards, maybe, the Tokyo Olympics)... "The top ten classified of 5 categories (kg. 48, 57, 60, 69 and 75) will get a pass to the participation to the 2019 European Championships set at Minsk, Belarus." EUBC Women’s European Boxing Championships: all results, draw sheets, daily schedule: http://www.eubcboxing.org/slider/eubc-womens-european-boxing-championships-all-results-draw-sheets-daily-schedule/ Daily Live Streaming on EUBC's Youtube page... 24. The Toronto Marlies regain the lead in the Calder Cup finals, after a 2-1 victory on the ice of the Texas Stars in game #3... It all happened in the 2nd period, when Texas took the early lead, but, for the 3rd time in 3 games in this series, the team allowing the first goal of the game came back and turn things around... game #4 is scheduled for Thursday night (8 p.m. ET, 2 a.m. CET...exactly at the same time of the NHL finals game #5...someone in the AHL schedule commission must be a real genius )... Game #3 Highlights
