  1. First medal event and Poland opened the count to an expected very good Championships
  2. Highway to the 700 mill
  3. Alice Wright seems to be falling behind, which is a shame, i wanted her to do good.
  4. Stefanidi clears 4.40 and is still alive.
  5. Who is taking bets, that we won't have a European on the podium in the men's marathon at the European Championships.
  6. Stefanidi with two misses on 4.40 and is on the verge on bombing out
  7. I could be wrong, but it's not rocket science to make a joint live scores section for the pole vault and not have to switch from one group to the other like an idiot.. Yes, i know there is a summary page, but it only shows the achieved mark, but it's not following the current attempts.
  8. Damn how i hate the BNT athletics commentator... Cursed be the day Discovery bought Eurosport and ditched a dozen sporting events..
  9. He still has the 50 free record
  10. Pilato continues the Italian streak today
  11. Who knew that a Romanian boy will beat Cielo's WR? Dressel should have extra motivation now, otherwise he is about the get used to the silvers in the freestyle
  12. No chance for rain ha 😂
  13. God i never get tired of hearing the Italian anthem, especially with home crowd passion. It gives you so much energy.
  14. First final and already first gold medal for the Azzurri And this wasn't one of the planned ones.
  15. Good start to the Championships for team BG, as Miladinov makes the final in the 50 fly, which is his second best discipline. By the way, Italy is going to easily win the medal table here. That strong team, which we saw at the Worlds is going to snatch a lot of wins here. Also, having an outside pool is a choice. I know it's not the first time it's happened, but it's not that common the last few years. I wonder what happens, if it rains
  16. You know, i saw those results last week, but i just can't feel optimistic about. Good junior athletes come and go (at least here) all the time, but only a select few make the transition to a good senior level. It's not only in athletics, but with all sports, there is just something broken in our system, that can't push juniors into the top of the senior level. Whether it's the financial situation, the coaching methods, the training preparations, the athletes desire and motivation, there is always something, that prevents the majority of juniors breaking through. And i'm sure this could be said for any country. Will see, what will happen with Mitkova. The same was being said about Alexandra Nacheva. World Champion, Youth Olympic Champion in 2018, bunch of other medals, big talent aaaand her PB is still from that 2018. 4 years after that, she hasn't shown any progress, better jumps, she is basically on the same junior level as she was, when 16-17. Just another example from the past 10 days. Apparently we won some fancy juniors women's tennis team cup and people were gushing what a prosperous group of girls we have, everyone is the best in their age group yada-yada (tennis has become a rising sport between kids, because of Grigor Dimitrov). I can bet a good amount, that those girls won't even reach the top 100 in the WTA in years time...
  17. Bulgaria is sending only 6 athletes at these Championships. It's safe to say, that along with football, it's the biggest downfall of a sport in our current history. It's truly amazing with the last 50 year history in this sport, that we are only able to send a team fitting a minnow state, let alone fight for finals, or a pipe dream of getting medals.. Like swimming is having a better, much better team currently, a sport, that has almost no tradition here. Tihomir Ivanov (M, High Jump) Georgi Nachev (M, Triple Jump) Mirela Demireva (W, High Jump) Alexandra Nacheva (W, Triple Jump) Militsa Mircheva (W, Marathon) Marinela Nineva (W, Marathon)
  18. Damn, what an exciting end of a race once again Ducati with a win and double podium on Silverstone of all places But it almost wasn't to be, as Vinales turned back the clock and has a second podium in-a-row. It's so bizarre watching Vinales fight for the wins, after seeing him battling for 14-15th spots in the first 10 rounds. I don't know what kind of magic they have done on the Aprilia, or if he has found his mojo, but these last 2 rounds have been a completely different story. 4th win for Pecco and he closes the gap in the standings. Imagine, if he saved some of those moronic falls in the previous starts, he could have been level with Quartararo. Nothing clear yet though. And Bastiannini making a brilliant climb on the last quarter of the race as per usual. His ability to sustain the tires is like no other currently. Just pick him Dukati, i want him in a team with Pecco.
  19. Zarco crashes from first position in the British GP, after a comfortable performance so far. On other hand Rins is doing a fantastic job to get to the top after starting 11th.
  20. And we all know who is to blame for this young kid's expose. That was a very fine run though.
  21. Haven't followed this closely, bar some results each day, but somehow we should be getting more medals then 3 bronzes...
  22. Levski leading PAOK 2:0 at half time, say whaaat
  23. After bulldozing the group, now the hosts are in big trouble in their first knockout match. Typical England I don't remember Spain being that good a few years ago, but it seems they are making a huge progress. Soon the women's team will be on par with their men's one and the traditional powers in women's football should start worrying.
  24. Wow, we have 4 women make the main bracket in the sabre. I didn't know we had 4 fencers at all, let alone making it out of the qualifying
  25. Alexander Vezenkov has rejected the offer of Sacramento Kings and has decided to stay with Olympiacos one more season with hopes to win the Euroleague. Sacramento are going to keep his card (or whatever way they transfer players) and follow his next season and try to bring him in next summer.
