Milano men's relay is:
Semi final 1:
Semi final 2:
They classify the countries according the World Tour Standings. Not according the SOQC-list. Otherwise and would switch.
Good relay final from the Dutch, even without Jens van 't Wout. Looks like he has a pretty annoying injury. Not te be underestimated in any case. Hopefully he will recorver in time for European Champs and Olympic Games.

Manganello was an unsympathetic winner, damn
Even going so far as to push Kerkhoff. Manganello is nearly a century old, surely she has heard of basic tactics like not taking turns in a lead group when you have your sprinter team mate behind you in the peloton. Manganello has even been a cyclist, come on, it's not that difficult.

Unfortunately he hasn’t fulfilled his potential this time around, but he still young and I believe he can improve both physically and mentally to be more prepared for LA in 2028 and even for next World championship

What an incredible tournament for the Dutch team. I'm especially happy that Lorena Wiebes is making such great progress in the omnium. But let's be honest: it's a post-Olympic year. The biggest competitors (Wollaston, Kopecky, Valente amongst others) aren't participating, many countries aren't here with their strongest riders, and the Netherlands is. We'll see what these results are worth next year. But still: I'm enjoying this Championships a lot

Since the 1990s, the Dutch Olympic Committee has treated sport like a business. Funding is directed toward disciplines with real medal potential (sailing, rowing, (track) cycling, hockey) rather than being spread thin across every sport. These sports that receive the most funding also happen to not be among the most popular Olympic sports if you look on a global scale, so less competition.
Sports that we’re not particularly good at but where the competition is high, such as badminton and table tennis get no funding, whereas breakdance, darts and freerunning did get some funding this year.
At the same time, I think sports seemed to have become less important in the eyes of the governments of other (mainly Eastern European) countries such the former Soviet countries, Cuba, Romania and Bulgaria. As larger nations such as Russia and Germany restructured their sports systems after the Cold War, the Netherlands really invested in world-class facilities like Papendal and built expertise in these more niche Olympic sports. At Papendal for example, the Netherlands has built strong links between universities, scientists, and sports federations, turning athletes into data-driven projects focused on small gains.
So yes, funding has increased, but mainly for the more niche sports that we have medal chances in. I think the investments in facilities like Papendal and having a lot of the top athletes and talents be centralized at those facilities where they can live, train and go to school, play a much bigger role.

Women' Omnium
Stadium.is at about 2000m of altitude, so naturally has the advantage of the conditions.
And Women's Match Sprint

Yes indeed, keirin always is a sort of a lottery. Yakovlev had bad luck in the final, but his best chance (the individual sprint) is yet to come. Lavreysen and Hoogland will appear tired at the start tomorrow, because they also ride the 1 km today.

And here goes the same question - each and every season...
Where is this website with the top times of the season in each event? I keep on losing it in the summer...

It's completely crazy what happens with him these two weeks. He really has great potential, but everytime there is 'something'. My prediction for the 1.000 meter is a PEN. And for the men's relay a yellow card. Then he has a full bingo card!

So Fercoq gets past the prelims in the 500m, is illegally brought down in the heats while he was taking up the third spot (could even have secured a q by time) so he's assigned ... a 4th position on the line for the repêchage heat, behind guys who finished 4th in their prelim race. Make it make sense please.
The starting position draw is do dumb. Why consider sheer time and not the spot you finish in first ? Why penalize athletes with a terrible position on the line (even if you manage to climb back up your time will be shit and you'll get the same awful position in the next round, against better athletes) though they were "no time" through no fault of their own ?
The advancement system is not that bright either. You get free bye if you're tripped in the battle for second in a race where only the first gets the Q, but you're not advanced if you were fighting for third when the race offer 2 Q.
