  1. Switzerland-Sweden and Norway-Canada for semi finals. Hasselborg/SWE was the last team to best Tirinzoni/SUI in a world championship game, but that was 35 games ago. I almost not want Sweden to win, just because Switzerland does not deserve to miss the final after so many wins against a team with 5 losses in this championship
  2. Dahlqvist deserved to be top2 in that QF, broke a pole because of Hennig, however I don't think that is an excuse. Ilar wouldn't have Done that for someone Else or in another scenario.
  3. Swedish Championships Sprint today: Women: 1. Anna Magnusson 2. Hanna Öberg 3. Johanna Skottheim Men: 1. Jesper Nelin 2. Martin Ponsilouma 3. Sebastian Samuelsson
  4. 30 game wins in a row - amazing WCH streak for Tirinzoni!
  5. World championship specialists Team Tirinzoni has 28 straight match wins in world championships. In the WCH 2021, 2022 and 2023, they have so far lost one game (against Hasselborg) out of 35 in this sport of small margins.
  6. And as she also did in Drammen in a course where it is almost impossible to keep a lead before the long downhill before last curve.
  7. Skistad hits her ski into Sundling a few meters to the finish and wins
  8. Not a good idea to let Hasselborg play when both she and Knochenhauer are pregnant and McManus just gave birth to a son two months ago. Wranå should have performed a lot better. Counting the games in the nationals + qualifiers, Wranå and Hasselborg are 4-5 and that extra 1-2 months of pregnancies has not been benefitial for their performance. Wranå won also the swedish super league last week, with Hasselborg not participating. So did I too on the mens side btw.
  9. According to some of the skiiers GPS watches, the 50km was in fact only 45 km. But of course that is still 17 km longer than the olympic 50 km last year. another, maybe off topoc, news is that Frida Karlsson and William Poromaa announced their breakup as a couple the day after Williams medal. Which I suspected already a few minutes before I read it, when I realized Frida didn't post anything about Williams medal at Instagram while sharing posts from Linn Svahn and liking other skiiers posts.
  10. Fun fact, Frida Karlsson finished 5th in her very first WCH race ever in 2019. Since that race then she has never missed missed medal in any of the 8 individal WCH races. But still not a gold.
  11. Covid after Chrismas, sick during and after wch
  12. They selet team one year in advance to give them more support and preparation. But that also means another team might have a better form this year, also that the maximum age is one year lower in their junior championship to make them still Young enough for the world juniors
  13. But they have missed gold 3 times in olympics at least and medal completely 2 of those
  14. Same with TUW and Sundling, all three potential medalists. The only positive I can see with this is that the team sprint starts to get some status finally should have had another rest day so they, like Klaebo would have a chance to go for both events.
  15. I think so too! And this despite our best biathlete has been sick and Elvira Will not race today either.
  16. Only Chevalier was better than Brorsson after shooting 1 at least, and she was skiing faster than Öberg in the pursuit, maybe the relay is short enough The reports are however positive so we can just hope it is not much worse than for Vittozi who was back in medal shape already today. But of course it is worrying.
  17. First double for Sweden in the biathlon world championship since the first ever world biathlon championships in 1958
  18. Sweden also thought they hade one less spot for both men and women. And in the mixed relay they forgot to controll the screws in Samuelssons rifle. Very professional
  19. Edin and Hasselborg won the swedish nationals the past weekend. My team choked in the semi final and ended up with the bronze. Hasselborg will play Wranå for who to represent Sweden in the WCH in a best of 7 play off next weekend.
  20. Italian alpine skiier Elena Fanchini is dead, cancer
