I could understand and agree about some stuff there but how can it be Sweden´s fault that the juries are giving us those points?

Australia just got their first win by defeating Canada. But Australia is be a very talented team, finishing 4th in last worlds despite coming from a nation with 0 dedicated curling facilities. They spent the last few months in Stockholm to be able to practice going in to this championship.

Even if Swedish song might not be the best, especially when he is strafflindring with his voice, I can’t see how 10 songs in this field could have been better, especially when Russia could make it. I think it will be extremely tight. Could be 1 win or so between 3rd and 8th. Wouldn´t be surprised. They have not been as successful since other countries started to focus more on MD after it became olymipic but they are still quite good. At least they won the single time I´ve played against them.

But what makes it most difficult is how you compare european titles to Briers etc, and value of Grand slams, world ranking, and the fact that the best canadian skips has a more difficult way to get the same number of chances at international championships. But It´s not like he could have done much better, except for not winning an olympic gold but I guess that is expected now after 4th-bronze-silver in the previous olympics.

Gold to Sweden, Silver to Scotland and bronze to Switzerland who really improved after the round robin, almost not qualifying. Not Russia unfortunately lost as many games in playoffs as in round robin overall and finish 4th. I guess that still is their best result ever for a male team? it´s third gold in a row for Sweden and Niklas Edins 5th (Oskar Erikssons fith as well but he was alternate in the first two).
