They don't have anything Canadian, they have privileges that others don't even have the right to have .... and they don't participate in any Judo Canada training camp or any Canadian Elite 8 Championship...  I hope a change in coaching staff, because Sasha Mehmedovic is cleary biased ... he protect any time Christa Deguci  and he criticizes Klimkait, his stupid comments in 2014 at the Youth Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games, same since last couple years ...

The ISL web site is a big joke ... a lot empty page and work in progress section 

The IJF would like to hold world championships every year including Olympic years. The first edition in olympics years would be in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2024

FYI, World Judo Championships 2022 is held in August 
 

This is not true, the team events do not necessarily add quota sport program, the qualifications of team events are based on the individual results.

But this kind of comment makes me piss off ... Dechuchi didn't sacrifice anything, she even got alot exemptions from Judo Canada. She has nothing Canadian in her, except her father. FIY it is her fault that the selection policy has changed, because she trains and is based in Japan. Judo Canada asked Deguchi to come to Canada right after the Antalya GS, so that they could both do the quarantine and preparation time. 

And ... she refused, and Judo Canada proposed to both of them to use the World Championships as a qualifying event, both accept ...

And the fact, the Deguchi's level is not top this year, his defeat against Eteri Liparteliani at GS Tbilisi year had put me in doubt about his level and not sure Deguchi would have won the 2 of 3, the last fight between the two is a DQ for Klimkait...

The members of the SOQC Racing Pool will represented Canada on the World Cup circuit this fall. They’ll put themselves in contention for the Beijing 2022 team based on their performances at those four World Cup competitions, which are scheduled for Beijing (CHN) and Nagoya (JPN) in October, and Debrecen (HUN) and Dordrecht (NED) in November.

The three highest ranked skaters per gender earned an automatic berth on the Special Olympic Qualification Competitions (SOQC) Racing Pool, the group of skaters that will represent Canada on the World Cup circuit this fall.
 
The remaining three places per gender in the SOQC Racing Pool will be awarded in accordance to the criteria established in the 2022 Short Track Olympic Selection Policies and Procedures, which can be simplified as the following:  
 
Maximum of two places can be filled via accepted bye requests from injured skaters Additional places can be filled by the winners of each individual distance (if applicable) OR the fourth ranked skater in the overall rankings The remaining places can be filled by discretionary selections (a maximum of two)
