  1. Yeah, I imagine it could prove to be an issue if he makes it to the Olympics, especially since India is already assured of qualification... Interestingly, that horse was previously named "Here To Stay", but then earlier this year Khan changed it to "Azad Kashmir"... For a price of 1,000 CHF. You can check the horse's history here.

  6. To be fair, I think still using imperial measurements (and whatever Myanmar is using) is a bigger issue.

  10. Shouldn't Algeria and Croatia have 7 tickets each (1+1+1+2+2)? We both bid and failed for 2017 Open and 2019 Annual.

  12. I thought this was a near-lock for Hong Kong. China or Korea progessing would be meh...
  13. I thought cross-country skiing became the main focus?
  14. To be fair, boxing is much more than just punch counting. I don't like when sports try to become simple for the mainstream audience, as usually in the process they start to disregard their own stakeholders.
  15. It's a big day for Brazil tomorrow, as the following combinations will try to obtain 66% MER at Munich Indoors... Pedro de Almeida (Xiripiti) Joao Victor Oliva (Aron de Massa) Edneu Senhorini (Xapparo do Vouga) They desperately need the scores. After Munich they will at most have 4 other opportunities. And that too is questionable, since pretty much all remaining events are European indoor shows with sometimes (very) limited entries...
  16. Your doubt confuses me. There is a TISC-News article with >1500 comments. https://tisc-news.totallympics.com/?p=735

  19. There is a huge difference, really. Shooting in biathlon is much more appealing compared to sport shooting and modern pentathlon. It's physical - you can see the bullets hitting targets (in slow motion at least), you can see targets being moved, you can hear the sound. Not just a sound of a shot being fired, but also a sound of target being hit or missed. When camera zooms you can see where exactly the bullets have hit or missed. Sport shooting is just following live scores, and modern penathlon is following lights. Boring. Pointless. It's really no wonder that biathlon is incomparable to those sports in terms of fan following. So... Biathlon shooting >>>>>>>>>>>>> Other shooting.
  20. But in the process it would kill the experience for the live audience. Watching athletes shoot the same circle 10 times seems rather dull.
  21. Nevertheless, athletes would not have to enter physical, extra bullets into the rifle, so that would remove something fairly significant. Then there is also the wind factor... Obviously it doesn't effect a beam of light. And finally the whole software thing. Imagine a software error directly impacting an outcome of a race? I'll just keep the laser rifles as far away as possible from biathlon range...
  22. But how do you enter an extra bullet during the relays in laser rifle?
  23. If MQS is confirmed, then Tunisia stands to have a male shooter for the first time since Rome 1960.

  25. Yeah, last week was pretty bad for the whole Adriatic. Luckily our coast is not as flat as it is in Venice.
