  1. 1. Yes 2. No 3. 1:14 (I swear I'm not just copying, these are my real answers!)
  2. It's really just a scheduling. Canada is actually right on track for predicted medals so far. Even with mixed curling, a lot of people did not pick Canada to medal anyway. The only thing on my end is that without meaningful curling in the next couple of days, it's pretty dry for Canada. We also didn't have a women's hockey game (postponed), and some injuries have put a damper on things, too. Things really start to pick up for us on Thursday (Women's SS 5000m, Men's moguls, men's snowboard cross, women's snowboard halfpipe, a bunch of short track, and the first men's hockey game).
  3. Canada finishes 5th instead of 4th in Figure Skating. Very disappointing. When will we get our first 4th? That's the real question!
  4. Both Canadians fail to make the final in big air. Not a great day for Canada. Not a great start overall. Besides Maltais' bronze, not a lot of good news so far.
  5. They'll probably screw that up, too.
  6. I agree, but really their first three games were against a very young Czech team, a Norwegian team who are good but didn't have a good meet, and it seems like something was wrong with the stones the Italians were using. They were in the games against USA and even GB, but made some key mistakes. Estonia, Sweden, and Korea were just amateur. The commentators were saying the ice changed and they couldn't adjust. Maybe, but every team plays on the same ice. They couldn't make a shot, even easy shots, to save their lives the last 2 days.
  7. GB, USA, ITA, SWE all officially in before the last games are played. That's anticlimactic. Too bad for SUI, they have a guaranteed win tomorrow against CAN, but it doesn't matter with the tiebreakers.
  8. "Gallant and Peterman is Canada's best team!" Well, then, Canada has a problem.
  9. Well, game over. Another loss for Canada. Wish I could say I was surprised.
  10. You can use stats to prove anything. 83% of people know that.
  11. I absolutely expected them to miss that completely and somehow give up 2. The fact that Team Canada making an easy shot is being celebrated tells you all you need to know about their performance so far.
  12. Gallant needs to help his wife by quitting curling immediately.
  13. Chance at team figure skating medal is gone now. It was a longshot anyway, especially against the home team.
  14. If they're going to miss the playoffs, do it like this, I guess. Don't give hope. Jacobs might be reconsidering his team right now. Gallant is awful.
  15. I have never seen a Canadian team play this badly in any of the versions at this level, EVER. Even McMorris/Homan just had one really had game in 2022. This is a scandal at this point.
  16. Another miss. They've completely forgotten how to curl. It's embarrassing for them.
  17. If I'm Jacobs I'm considering bringing in the alternative over Gallant at this point /overdramatic
  18. Jesus Christ Canada, make a goddamn shot for once. So frustrating to watch.
  19. Women's team should be in the final, but Homan has failed to reach the playoffs in two previous Olympics (Women's team in 2018, Mixed Doubles in 2022). Only three Canadian curling teams have ever not made the playoffs at the Olympics so far, and she's done it twice. But, she's ranked 1st in the world and has been dominant, so hopeful. Men's is a bit less strong, but still favoured to get a medal. Final should be the goal.
  20. Canada loves to finish 4th, unless it's to reach the playoffs. Then 5th is all they can do.
  21. The announcers are left speechless after another miss by Gallant.
  22. Canada has to win both, Italy has to lose both. That's all that really matters. Canada has the easier schedule (KOR + SUI vs GB + USA), but it's still pretty unlikely.
  23. Canada hasn't really missed out on medal chances yet, besides curling. Injuries have limited their chances, too. But looking at the schedule, this is about where we could expect them to be.
