I'm happy for Hausding, he's a great diver. So is Laugher (but for some reason I find him arrogant, but I'm happy for him, too). And the Chinese, again. Sure. Great for Gagne to make the final. He's only 18. Look out for him in Tokyo!

Well, congrats to Germany, they deserved it. But they also displayed the reason why so many people cannot stand this game. Flopping all over the field, rolling around like a shark just bit off their leg, only to pop up and run after the ball seconds later. Football can be fun sometimes, but it certainly isn't a game of integrity. I'll take rugby over it every day of the week.

Getting tired of Germany acting like they got shot every time a stiff wind hits them. As our commentator just said, you're the 2nd best team in the world. You don't need to do that.

Superb effort by Gagne, btw. Qualifying in 5th no less. Great job by the youngster. He's only 18, so this experience will definitely help him towards 2020.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Serbia beat Australia in basketball. If Canada would have beaten Spain, they would have been on that side of the bracket facing Turkey, and then potentially Serbia. Now they have France and if they manage to beat them, USA.

You know Canada beat the USA 3-0. It's not unreal to think they may have beaten Italy 3-1 because they're just that good. Yeah, it probably helped that Italy didn't need to win the game. Doesn't mean they lost on purpose.

Pretty good to see Canada in the top ten, but also disappointing because the countries around us have a lot more medals/more golds. Even though this has been a good games for us so far, it sort of tells our historic issue at the Olympics. Lots of close-calls, not as many breakthroughs. But, like I said, our swim team in particular did amazing in Rio. -
Yeah, but not as slow as today. At least there's two big team elimination games as well. Plus, we've got 3 good guys in the 200m which should be exciting to see. And like juddy said, Weinberger has a chance. I just felt like today was boring, with a big let down in the evening (though the final ended up being quite exciting anyway). Volleyball was the only really interesting thing today for me (and maybe some prelim track races).
