  1. Finally, it's ok. At least not an AI-slop like RAI promo.
  2. The talk is all about the athlets, but what about other stuff? What are the rules for taking the coaches, technicians and others? I found the whole list for polish team: https://olimpijski.pl/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/PKOl_ZIO_2026_reprezentacja_KONFERENCJA3.pdf 60 athletes 82 stuff 15 members of the 'Olimpics Mission' (including two priests for extra buffs )
  3. Well... few years ago it was to much for the German National Broadcaster - for athletics they constantly said 'you can watch everything on the online stream' - but forget to set the stream and streamed nothing.
  4. Ski Fedaration said, that Michał Jasiczek is not eligible, because he didn't make any medical examination for two years and is out of any anti-doping testing. The chef of NOC said it doesn't matter, all that matters are the point from european cup from last season (both Jasiczek and Habdas have not score any this season...). Further the chef of NOC said it is totally embarrassment for the ski federation and that chef of ski federation (Małysz) should resign from the position. Ski Federation sent representative to NOC meeting to discuss the situation. The NOC dislike, that was not Małysz himself and don't let him in. The ski fedaration sent a letter to FIS, that Jasiczek is from their perspective not eligible and thet don't take resposibility for him. Also NOC calls Kamil Stoch to be the flag bearer directly. Which ski federation dislikes, they don't contact them first. Basically the tug-of-war who has more power.
  5. For me most important are the sports i follow all the season: biathlon, cross country skiing, ski jumping and curling (here i follow only European and World Championships). These are my 'golden coloured' sports on my excel schedule. The second group is: ski alpine, bobsleigh, short track, skeleton, nordic combined and some of the freestyle skiing (ski cross and slope style). The third group: luge, speed skating, snowboard. I will also look up for ski mountaineering - i never followed this, so I am happy to give it a try. Sorry i have to say it: if it is a multiple choice poll the results should be number of votes for the particular option divided by number of voter, not the whole sum of the vote. It is probablythe forum engine, but every time i see a bad diagram, i rage out. The results should look like this:
  6. It didin't work. I am suspicious - I guess. Athletics WCh on Eurosport - finally...
  7. Edin with 43% after 5 Ends...
  8. Polish politics jumped on the Olympic-Train and now it is loud about investigate how the gov founding were spend and who is to blame. Special parliamentary commission should be formed to interrogate athletes about their problems with the sports federations. Probably just for show, Olympics is now main topic in the media, so the politician are trying to score some points. After two weeks no one will care and nothing will change.
  9. I think it should depends on numer of heats, not on distance, if there are only three heats, there is no reason to have semi-finals.
  10. It's easy: Surfing BMX Race Karate Kata Skateboard Street E-Sport Break As mixed-team event, of course. We will call it Urbanathlon.
  11. Paris 2024 was the 4th Games (Sommer+Winter) where i did not care about the medal table. And enjoyed the Games and sport very much. (well Eurosport, Max, DiscoverPlus (branding may vary by region) has destroyed it for me by showing the medal table at pauses in the broadcast.) It weird concept to me, summing medals from team and individual sports, sports with a lot of same-but-little-different events or lot of different weight classes etc. Yeah, a lot of people don't care about sport, games, about the athletes, about the competition, but just care about a number in a table. There is a plenty of statistic on the world ranking countries - why not interested about that?
  12. To makes the Games more youth and urban, because all the kids and teens are listing Snoop Dog...
  13. No! Leon! NO! Leave the flame there!
  14. Not really a 'moment', but it is great that every session i saw the stands was full and the crowd was there. After the 'silent games' it is great to have all the fans! Great atmosphere. I like the new ritual of opening of every session by hitting three times with wooden staff - i think you know what i mean. Men's Volleyball QF vs was the most thrilling and positive moment for oblivious reasons. And also, the fight in the semi-final after being behind and having serious injuries. I think the Korean archery coach is really cool. (Playing "Gangsta's Paradise" for presentatnion of the archers and coaches was just perfect!) Speaking of archery: men's individual final Kim vs. Ellison and the 5th set tied after both achieving 10-10-10 and the shoot-off (where both shoot 10s, too). C'mon it was just the peak of the archery level you can achieve and this in the Olympic final!
  15. Between the last match and medal ceremony there were broadcasting 5 Best (the longest? ) Rallies: vs , vs , vs , vs and vs .
  16. Geraint Thomas collected all the podim places - how many riders achive that?
  17. Thomas Bach (Olympic Champion, Fencing) spotted next to the podium.

  21. I know computer games are not sports, but there are bans for faking the world record too. https://www.theverge.com/2022/7/6/23196836/summer-games-done-quick-cheating-metal-gear-rising-revengeance
