  1. South American record
  2. Why is Kolak in Latvian colours?
  3. Finally The best consolation of receiving the medal late is to receive it here in front of thousands of home fans.... and Reggie, her son, gets to experience the moment with her now
  4. Alistair DNF Cragg cheering on his wife from the sidelines.... probably reassuring her that she can always drop out if it gets too hard . He once dropped out in first 400m of a marathon (can't remember which) . Not to mention numerous 5000m finals.
  5. Stigler DQ'd now too.... what the hell is going on with these guys?
  6. Half of these 400m hurdlers are still asleep it seems. Comedy or errors so far
  7. Well McMaster not just banned for treading on the line..... he dragged his lead leg to the side of the hurdle, not clearing it...... awful runnng by him
  8. Well Barr is still as bad here as he has been all year
  9. Lasa qualified to the final in men's long jump
  10. Athletics, Swimming, Artistic Gymnastics, Rowing and Weightlifting. Track cycling has fallen in recent years due to removal of great events like the Points race but is still probably 6th on my list, just outside top 5. Archery is definitely a big highlight for me too at the Olympics. Men's road race cycling is up there at the top also as one of the best events of the Olympics.
  11. No I hadn't heard this, congrats to her . I guess she is living here now?
  12. Yes, now over 50% (closer to 60%) of the way there last time i checked. And he now has an auction available with all sorts of quirky and great items, such as a lesson with Andrew Nicholson!! I might bid for the bracelet made up of Art's hair but I doubt I will win the bid as it already stands at £130! Here is the auction site: https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/auction/detail/auction_id/1854/showid/31379#none
  13. Well that's a wrap.... enjoyable championships and already looking forward to the next edition! Great job Budapest!
  14. As much as I don't like either Efimova or King, I love this rivalry a lot
  15. Another excuse for the commentators to make a mess of pronouncing anything remotely correct
  16. Fiji and USA could be good targets for your team, if not to win then to go close to a win. And with France playing Ireland again this time we will see the new difference between the level of our teams, I am sure it won't be as big
  17. Yep, it's the full 18-a-side Let's see how they go, you might be pleasantly surprised and sneak a win or two
  18. Yes I don't know how that Division thing works and who gets put in which division or if there is some kind of relegation (probably not).
  19. He wants to introduce a new event, women's Bach-stroke .
  20. Actually no, I think the team is basically made up of Croatian nationals who play for the Croatian Knights (national team name). Here you can read about them in this article: http://www.worldfootynews.com/article.php/20170728182551644 And their Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/7909610796/ I believe they crowdfunded to help get them funding so they can compete here
  21. The Aussie Rules Football International Cup kicks off next week (so-called Aussie Rules World Cup ). The hosts Australia don't participate as they would dominate and destroy the opposition . Website http://www.afl.com.au/internationalcup/ Competing teams are as follows (world ranking in brackets): Men's Division 1: Papua New Guinea (2) New Zealand (3) Ireland (4) Nauru (5) South Africa (6) Great Britain (7) United States (8) Canada (9) Fiji (13) France (14) Men's Division 2: Croatia (12) (@dcro did you even know Croatia competes in Aussie Rules? . First time appearance) Germany (15) Japan (16) China (19) India Indonesia Pakistan Sri Lanka The format makes absolutely no sense as each team will play four matches against other teams within the division and will then be ranked from one to ten with grand finals to follow between the top two placed teams on the ladder, the third and fourth placed teams and so on. But it seems to be completely random who you play in the 4 games to determine the final rankings.... for example, Ireland (3rd seed) plays Papua New Guinea (1st seed) and New Zealand (2nd seed) in the prelims so it isn't exactly a fair format. In the past (2011 and 2014), a Team For Peace participated made up of players from Israel and Palestine. A very nice concept, pity they aren't here again. Previous tournaments: Year GOLD SILVER BRONZE 2002 Ireland Papua New Guinea New Zealand 2005 New Zealand Papua New Guinea United States 2008 Papua New Guinea New Zealand South Africa 2011 Ireland Papua New Guinea New Zealand 2014 Papua New Guinea Ireland New Zealand Women's Competition: Canada (2) United States (3) Ireland (4) Fiji Great Britain Pakistan Papua New Guinea European Crusaders (combined team made up of players from Previous tournaments: Year GOLD SILVER BRONZE 2011 Ireland Canada United States 2014 Canada Ireland United States
  22. Any news about the "clubs" feature yet?
  23. The Russian anthem is great! Probably my favourite.
