  4. Sure. It's just a good timing and leverage not to shame either side.
  5. The "secret agreement" is revealed. It's the resignation/firing of Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey who started the dispute. China CCTV commented "All price have to be paid and wish him good luck".
  6. It's good enough for me. He doesn't have to show his personal character or political views. He just need to be normal, stable-minded and a typical moderate democrat. That's enough for him to win the vote, any further behavior is an another adventure.
  7. I randomly picked 4-5 songs to listen and I found that the quality are unexpectedly good. I am much impressed by 3 songs and I might already have top 3 in my mind. Hope other songs will also beyond my expectation.

  9. Well, I would like to say Japanese sports federation require exceptional high behavior standards for athletes. I am not sure if suspension would also apply to other athletes. But for him, it's more like because he's the captain of national swimming team and the most famous one, that's why paparazzi followed him, shot the photo and becoming a social news afterwards.
  10. Yes a Japanese diver. Her father was a Chinese diver and being coach in Japan after retirement. She was born in China, moving to Japan very little and naturalized to Japan together with her parents. So generally Chinese fans like Seto a lot and called him Chinese son-in-law sometimes.
  11. Anyone noticed Seto's marriage affair before? I am quite shocked because his image in mind is a responsible and almost perfect man who has a beautiful Chinese wife. But I think it weird he got suspended for having affair, for a short time though. Hope it won't interrupt his training. He is my favorite foreign swimming athlete
  12. Somehow it's true. But also thanks to the stage of UN, we human kinds already avoided a lot of potential hot wars replaced by diplomatic and political battles.
  13. They will and always interfere China’s issue by condemning and they also interfere Israel annexation by condemning. But in exchange, they lost huge Income from USA but what did they get in return? Self recognition and moral heights? What if they lose the second largest income source from China again? Who to pay the settlement fees of Rohinga refugees and other political and war related refugees? I am not saying that no human rights issue in China and Russia nor they are models to praise. But in practice the motivation of every vote is selfish and complex especially for those developing countries leaning on big powers. UN is not Utopia but a real battle ground of geopolitics.
  14. It's quite understandable as USA quitting due to its condemning over Israel annexation. Without support of China and Russia, this organization may totally lose its international influence and becoming some crazy old lady keeps murmuring who nobody cares. No UN body could function normally when it loses support of USA, China and Russia simultaneously and UN is already trying very hard to balance the big powers from democracy to authoritarian, and from liberals to conservatives. Politics is not about idealism but compromises.
  15. Hahaha. He must be the mind reader and soul mate of Chinese CCP. " I stand with all foreign activists who make chaos for their own country but I want mine peace and love, law and order, prosperity and stability."

  21. To everyone's surprise, China state-owned television CCTV suddenly announced that it will resume NBA broadcasting. It will live streaming tomorrow's G5 between Lakers and Heat. Apparently some secret agreement has been reached between NBA committee and CCTV and it will save both side's poor viewership ratings this year. Originally NBA is banned on CCTV due to its support of "freedom of speech" towards Hong Kong pro-democracy protests. During the BLM movement, some Chinese laughed at the situation that NBA African American players' "freedom of speech" towards their own issues is also not welcomed and being asked to shut up and just play the games by Americans. Maybe after the BLM movement and the LeBron's boycotting, some understandings have been made. FYI: NBA is never fully banned in China, the internet broadcasting license belongs to the private-owned company Tencent and it has been online broadcasting the games normally
  22. The Nobel Peace Prize goes to World Food Programme (WFP). I am not surprised that it didn't go to Trump, Putin or other big names, but still I am surprised that it goes to a generic organization. Boring

  25. Of course I do, and even more than above issues. I am worried about the livelihood of ordinary people including me. I am worried about the unemployment rate rise. I am worried about all consequences caused by he pandemic and the degree of recovery. But I just don’t think any sports federation should be responsible for them and should not be the battle ground for people condemning each other. I just hate politics interfere sports.
